Ensure that the computer you are using for your presentation supports the use of multiple monitors. If the computer has multiple input ports, such as DVI, VGA, HDMI, ir DisplayPort, it should support multiple monitors. Most modern desktop computers have multiple monitor support built in; if not, you'll need two video cards.
Overview of Presenter view
Presenter view lets you view your presentation with your speaker notes on one computer (your laptop, for example), while the audience views the notes-free presentation on a different monitor.
Note: PowerPoint only supports the use of two monitors for a presentation. However, you can configure to run a presentation on three or more monitors that are connected to one computer. Check your computer manufacturer’s website for up-to-date information about multiple monitor support for your computer.
Presenter view offers the following tools to make it easier for you to present information:
You can use thumbnails to select slides out of sequence and create a customized presentation for your audience.
Speaker's notes are shown in large, clear type so that you can use them as a script for your presentation.
You can darken or lighten the screen during your presentation and then resume where you left off. For example, you might not want to display the slide content during a break or a question and answer period.
In Presenter view, icons and buttons are large enough to navigate easily, even when you are using an unfamiliar keyboard or mouse. The following illustration shows the various tools that are available to you from Presenter view.

A slide show, or slideshow, is a presentation of a series of still images (slides) on a projection screen or electronic display device, typically in a prearranged sequence. The changes may be automatic and at regular intervals or they may be manually controlled by a presenter or the viewer.

Presenter view lets you take advantage of the dual monitor capability of a computer to separate what the audience sees from the mechanics of running a slideshow. The view is a passive interface that displays data (the model) and routes user commands (events) to the presenter to act upon that data. The presenter acts upon the model and the view. It retrieves data from repositories (the model), and formats it for display in the view.
In order to display Presenter View on a separate display using laptops, you normally want to mirror your internal display with the stage monitor. Then both monitors will show the presenter view, and the external display will show the full presentation.
Presenter. The role of the presenter is to communicate with the audience and control the presentation. Remember, though, that this may also include handing over the control to your audience, especially if you want some kind of interaction.
Whether you're making an important edit to your speaker notes during a presentation rehearsal or jotting down feedback during your presentation, the ability to edit notes in Presenter view increases your productivity and eliminates the need to toggle between views.
In the top right corner of the Presenter View you will see that you can click on the icon to move from full screen ode into windowed mode. This allows you to resize the Presenter View window.
You must enable the Use Presenter View tick box on the Slide Show tab to use Presenter View. This tick box is greyed out if you don't have a second screen connected to your PC. You can choose which screen you want the Presenter View to be displayed on. Usually, this will be on your laptop.
Interactive presenter modes are only available for the desktop version of Teams. Meeting attendees using the mobile or online versions of Teams will see a shared window or screen and presenter video separately.
Go to Slide Show tab and click From Beginning or From Current Slide. The presentation slide will display full screen. Right-click on anywhere on the presentation slide and choose Show Presenter View.
The PowerPoint presenter view is the ideal tool for your presentation. It allows you to display your speaker notes and slides on your computer while presenting. Meanwhile, your audience will see the presentation without your notes on another screen or projector.
Once you enable the presentation mode, all other pop-up windows get disabled automatically, and the scheduled tasks don't run within the system. Also, the computer stays awake the whole time and disables the screen saver. You can also remove or change the desktop background to your preferred image.
When you're creating a presentation, you can add speaker notes to refer to later while delivering the slide show in front of an audience. During your presentation, the speaker notes are visible on your monitor, but aren't visible to the audience.
