How do I contact Vizio support? ›

To obtain warranty service, contact VIZIO Technical Support via email at [email protected] or via phone at 877 MY VIZIO (877-698-4946). The VIZIO Technical Support hours are 5:00AM to 9:00PM Monday through Friday and 7:00AM to 4:00PM Saturday and Sunday, Pacific Time.

Double-check that the power cord is firmly connected to your TV and the wall socket. Sometimes they can come loose if the TV has been moved or bumped. Give your TV a little reset: Unplug your TV from the power source, wait for about 5 seconds, and then plug it back in.

Check for any wireless devices that may interfere with the HDTV's wireless signal. This could be microwaves, cordless phones, aquariums, or thick walls. Clear the cache memory of the VIZIO Smart HDTV. To do this, go to the menu, select Help > Clear Memory.

VIZIO provides a “ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY” against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser of new VIZIO audio equipment purchased from an authorized VIZIO U.S. reseller and used in the fifty (50) United States or Puerto Rico.

Unplug the TV power cord for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Try a forced factory data reset using TV buttons (only for Android TV and Google TV). You can perform a manual reset by pressing buttons on the TV and inserting the cable, even if the TV isn't powered on or isn't responsive.

Poor Cable Connections

Once you're sure the input source is working properly, and you have the right input settings, check the cable connections. In many instances where the TV screen is black but the audio works, poor or misplaced cable connections could be the issue.

Look in your network settings on your TV, and make sure they are turned on and that there are no error messages. While you're there, look for an option to reset your network and reset it before restarting your TV for good measure.

Power cycle your TV by unplugging it from the wall or the TV itself for a full 5 seconds. After those agonizing seconds are up, plug it back in and turn on the TV. Some TVs even let you do this dance from the menu: look for 'Reset & Admin' and select 'Soft Power Cycle'.

How do I get my VIZIO TV to work? ›

Be sure TV Speakers is set to ON. Be sure your connected devices are turned on. Press the INPUT button on the remote and select the input to which your device is connected (HDMI-1, Composite, Component, etc). Be sure the power cord is securely connected to the AC socket on the TV and to a working electrical outlet.

What to Do If Vizio SmartCast Isn't Working. Power cycle your TV and check your internet connection in Menu > Network > Test Connection. If the connection test is 0 or unavailable, fix your Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Reset the cache to restart SmartCast Home or reset your TV to factory settings.
