Tips for making this recipe …

The haggis pie is fairly easy to put together and if you want to you can swap up the layers for your preferred colour combo.

The pie is topped with grated cheddar cheese that melts on the top but it would be delicious with a lovely Scottish Whisky sauce or a wee bit creamy sauce or gravy of choice.

Leave the pie to cool slightly before it is sliced just to give it a chance to hold together better. I find its best when its warm rather than fresh out of the oven so that the layers hold well when serving.

You can also serve this pie up cold if you like as a picnic snack or lunch. Its delicious with a little salad on the side. Its not my favourite way of serving it but my son loves eating it this way.

The loaded neeps and tatties recipe is really easy and you can try serving it up with different toppings if you like too. Experiment and share your photos over on instagram with me.
