The reason why it didn't receive one was that the anime ran out of material to adapt. The anime caught up to the manga, to say the least, and never received another adaption as it was not able to catch up.

Clare started as one of the weakest claymores, having trouble dealing with even regular Yoma. However, as the story progressed, her abilities have grown exponentially.

Priscilla is the main antagonist of the manga/anime series Claymore. Known as the One-Horned Awakened Being, she is the most powerful Awakened Being to exist and Clare's archenemy.

Raki shows no shock at their conclusions, though, and reveals that his teacher was none other than the former No. 1 Claymore of the male generation, Isley, which intrigues Chronos.

In desperation, Priscilla begins releasing her Yoki and eventually kills Teresa. Priscilla fully awakens into a winged, one-horned demonic humanoid. She destroys the execution team, but ignores Clare.

Sterile just means they can't have children. It's very heavily implied that they do have sex, like when Riful talks about her and and Dolph's relationship, or all the other Claymore's believing Raki was Clare's sex toy.

Even from childhood, Clare's enormous willpower was apparent when she would persistently follow Teresa despite the dangers. While with Teresa, she was initially mute, but later on was able to speak again. Her determination to kill Priscilla made her take Teresa's flesh and blood into her body and become a Claymore.

I thought it was a great anime, so when I went searching for season 2 I hear the reason for it not being made was because it didn't do well in Japan.

What Is Claymore? Claymore first debuted as a manga series in 2001, spanning 159 chapters before finishing its run in 2014. The anime adaptation was released in April 2007 and ran until September 2007.

As the manga was still ongoing, the anime had to end at the conclusion of the Northern Campaign arc, but they somehow made the ending different. Before the final chapters in the manga, Priscilla remained undefeated since she slew Teresa.

There is no word since Claymore's anime adaption finished. So its not likely, but not impossible. It could be possible if another network/director reboots the entire series. If you know Fate Stay night , essentially thats what they did.
