Some Hosts may have an extra guest fee and require that you submit a trip change request to add any additional guests to your reservation. Other Hosts might have a strict limit on the capacity for their home and can't accommodate any more people.

It's up to you, as the Host, to decide if you can accommodate any extra people. If guests show up with extra people, you have the right to turn them away.

When guests book a vacation rental, they commit to only bringing other registered guests to the property. Unfortunately, not all guests respect this policy. Unregistered guests at your vacation home can cause expedited wear and tear on your rental and leave you liable for injuries sustained on the property.

What we don't allow. Physical intrusions: Hosts and guests must not access or attempt to access private spaces unless they have permission or there is an emergency.

If you can accommodate the larger group, send your guest a trip change that includes the additional cost per night for the extra guests. If you're unable to accommodate the larger number of guests, let your guest know that your place isn't the right fit for their group and ask them to cancel their reservation.

Depending on your Host's pricing, changing the number of guests may affect the total cost of your trip. If your Host requires a fee for any extra guests, in most cases, the additional cost will be charged to your original payment method as soon as the Host accepts your trip change request.

The Airbnb extra guest fee is an optional charge that hosts can add to their listings. This fee is designed to cover the added costs of hosting more people, such as additional laundry, cleaning, and wear and tear on the property.

Keeping our Airbnb family safe is one of our top priorities. If we have at least a first name, last name, and date of birth for a US-based user who creates a listing, or is associated with a booking, we may perform a background check on that user.
