I don’t think that I am an easy person to deal with. Some people think that it’s because I am introverted by nature but I think that is nonsense.
The New Year for instance was nothing special to me. I was curled up in a bed net fending off mosquitoes as I struggled to get some leetcode problem right.
Midnight came around and as everyone was shouting happy new year outside, I was seated in my room in the protection of that net coding the night away.
I never even once stopped to pick up my phone and send out happy new year messages to my friends. In fact, I never did up to today and I don’t think I will.
My friends too did not bother except for one and even for that person, it took me one full day to reply to that text with,… HNY!!.
It sometimes feels like the older I get, the more dissociated I become from my friends and people I care about.
