Is it worth wishing on the weapon banner? ›

Weapon banner is only worth it if you're OK with getting either featured weapons. This way, first pity is 75% featured weapon vs 25% standard weapon, and, if you lose, it's 50/50 between featured weapons. Pulling on weapon banner in hopes of scoring only one of the featured weapons is way too risky.

Unlike the character banner, you will need to miss the weapon twice in order to guarantee that your next 5-star wish is the weapon you want. This means that it will take up to 240 wishes in order to guarantee the weapon you want.

For weapon pulls, Wuthering Waves allows players to lock in a single weapon on the standard banner, and within 80 pulls, that weapon is guaranteed to drop. There is no 50/50 for weapons. Similarly, weapon event banners only feature one weapon, and players are guaranteed to get exactly that weapon in 80 pulls.

It depends really, if you have a lot of upcoming characters that you're planning to pull for them, then the weapon banner is not going to be worth it. If you don't plan to pull for any characters soon, then the weapon banner is a good place to get some stronger weapons without relying on billets.

Pity carries over from banner to banner. So, if you roll 75 times before a new banner drops, those rolls will carry over. Note that this only works if you're rolling on the same banner. Character and Standard banners don't share the same pity.

The weapon banner also doesn't have a 50/50, but a 75/25 because there's TWO rate up 5 star weapons on the banner. You have a 75% chance to get one of the two rate ups, and a 25% chance to get another random 5 star weapon.

Initially, Genshin Impact players have a 75% chance of getting either of the two featured weapons. However, there is still a 25% chance to lose their 50/50 chance on the 5-star summon. Losing the 50/50 will summon a 5-star weapon from the Standard banner.

It also offers up a pool of several non-limited characters. These are the characters you'll lose the 50/50 to if you're trying to pull a featured character on a limited Event Convene. Since you don't get to guarantee which 5-star character you'll pull here, it's a bit less reliable to pull on this banner.

Pity "carries over" between limited banners of the same type, so a player who pulls 20 times on a limited character banner without getting an S-rank Agent will only need 70 more pulls on the next banner to hit hard pity.

I think the next weapon banner in the first half of 4.5 update is really worth wishing for. Both sword & claymore come with 88.2% crit damage. And can be used on multiple characters.

Is it worth pulling for weapons as a F2P? ›

Perfectly fine as long as you are aware of the cost-benefit ratio. Because people tend to overestimate the worth of 5* weapons (compared to the damage and versatility increase that other characters can provide) and underestimate how much the weapon banner can screw you over.

Genshin Impact 4.4 Weapon Banners

For the four-star weapons, Lithic Spear, Sacrificial Bow, Sacrificial Sword, and Sacrificial Greatsword, featured in phase 1. As for phase two of the Genshin Impact 4.4 banners, it features Xiao and Yae Miko's signature weapons, Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, and Kagura's Verity.

This is the main issue: It's much better to spend on character event that weapons banner. Weapons % rate are kinda the same as characters and it's just not worthy since characters have much more impact in this game.

Furina's weapon is her strongest option for her personal damage - especially in teams where her energy recharge requirements are low. However, even when using an ER% sands it still is her best option in terms of personal dps.
