EMG|Riddles is known for being the best Terry Bogard user in the world. He's also seen as one of the better Kazuya players worldwide as well. It's worth noting that these are two characters that require strong execution to play in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
But how difficult are they to play overall compared to the rest of the roster. To answer questions like these, Riddles recently crafted a tier list that rates characters based on how difficult they are to use at a high level.
According to Riddles, the fighters with the steepest learning curves are Peach, Ice Climbers, Rosalina & Luma, Kazuya, Duck Hunt, Pikachu and Sheik. They've all been ranked as "S tier" as a result.
A tier contains characters like Bayonetta, Marth, Mega Man, Sephiroth, Joker, Steve, Banjo-Kazooie and a few others. It's also interesting to note that Kingdom Hearts' Sora has been positioned here. This is ironic considering Masahiro Sakurai's statement that Sora is intended to be an easy character to pick up and play.
It's interesting to note that some of the easiest combatants in the game are coincidentally some of the weakest. While combatants like Zelda, Dr. Mario, Little Mac, King K. Rool and Ganondorf are notorious for having basic game plans, they tend to be lower on traditional tier lists.
Of course, the same cannot be said for Mr. Game & Watch and R.O.B., two characters that are often viewed as high tier or top tier. Check out Riddles' list below:
