As Lord Shiva is shown covered in ashes, he has also become the symbol of impermanence of the physical body. He is one with the departed and the living and that has been a big part of Lord Shiva.
Then the lines that follow talk about how he is above relations and desires. The word ‘Ananga’ refers to the love god, Kamadeva’ and when the lines say ‘Mardan anang santat asang har’, it shows how Lord Shiva is completely unattached to the love and desire of material.
