Can you access dentrix remotely? ›

Those with permission can still log in from anywhere to view practice information from their laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other internet-capable devices.

Patients Counted for Continuing Care: Patients whose last continuing care treatment date is within the time frame you specify are counted as active continuing care patients. By default, patients are counted as active if their last continuing care treatment date is within the past 12 months.

From the Family File, select File > New Patient with Appt. Select if you are creating a new family or adding to an existing family. Dentrix pulls in the information you entered for the patient when you created their appointment.

In the Office Manager, click Reports > Management > Referred BY Patient for patient referrals, and Reports > Management > Referred by Doctor/Other for doctor and marketing referrals. Use these reports to thank your patients for their kind referrals.

Dentrix is easy to learn, and there's not a lot of quirkiness that you find with some other systems.

On your local Windows PC: In the search box on the taskbar, type Remote Desktop Connection, and then select Remote Desktop Connection. In Remote Desktop Connection, type the name of the PC you want to connect to (from Step 1), and then select Connect.

Go to “Start” > “Settings.” Select “System” > “Remote Desktop” (Windows 11) or “Remote Desktop” on the left toolbar (Windows 10). Turn on the “Remote Desktop” toggle ( Windows 11) or the “Enable Remote Desktop” toggle (Windows 10).

The easiest way to determine who has access to a particular Windows machine is to go into computer management (compmgmt. msc) and look in Local Users and Groups. Check the Administrators group and the Remote Desktop Users group to see who belongs to these.
