The pink-haired girl shut her bathroom door and made her way to her sink. Reaching for the soap, she lathered it over her hands and proceeded to wash the foam off. Turning the sink off, she stared down in silence.

Looking up and facing herself in the mirror, Sakura regained her composure. The girl had gotten home a few hours ago and had just now taken the time to reflect upon her little run-in with Hinata.

She had expected a run-in with at least one person from her past but certainly not on the first day!

Looking at her hair and eyes through her reflection, she sighed.

'𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘮.'

It was true. She had 𝘩𝘪𝘴 stupid pink hair and 𝘩𝘪𝘴 vomit-colored eyes. And the fact that she let herself into that gym just proves it.

It proves the fact that 𝘴𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.

"I'm home!" A voice yelled. Sakura forgot about her reflection and immediately made her way to her mother.

When the pink-haired girl entered the room, she noticed the bags on her mother's hands. Sakura took the bags from her hands and placed them on the kitchen table. "Thank you," Her mother breathed out, tired from the pain the plastic bags had on her fingers.

Sakura muttered back at her mother, "It's no worries," she said, unwrapping the bags and placing the items in their fridge.

"How was school?" Her mother asked, helping her put the good up.

Sakura paused. "It was good," She gulped silently. Her mother, distracted with the groceries, didn't pry onto the subject any further, "That's good." She said, "Work was quite fun today. I got to meet almost every vet in Konoha! I jumped for joy when I found out they don't care for scorpions there. I mean, in Suna, everyone and I mean everyone, had a damn scorpion!"

Sakura listened to her mother's loud rantings from afar, pouring the cereal into their Tupperware containers. If there was one thing her mother hated, it was the weird love everyone had for very dangerous animals. Yep. That and Tuna.

"Anyways, a few minutes later, Miss Yugito comes barging in, a sick Matatabi in her arms. I immediately take her off the girl's hands and run a bunch of checkups only to find out she's pregnant!" Her mother yelled, grabbing onto Sakura's hands and spinning with her, "We're going to have Odd-eyed kittens!"

"Mama," Sakura interjected, "They aren't our kittens." Her mother stayed silent, placing the girl's bangs out of her eyes, "You're right," She admitted sadly, walking off. Mebuki then turned around, "they're only mine!" She said, laughing evilly.

Sakura sighed softly at her mother, rolling her eyes playfully.

Hinata Hyūga sat quietly at the table, reading a book. Feeling a nudge from her side, the white-eyed girl looked up. "You seem a little preoccupied, Hinata." Her blonde-haired friend laughed.

"Ah, it's just for Literature class." The Hyūga smiled, "You're going to have to read it too, Ino-chan."

Ino sighed, "I know," She looked aside, biting her cheek, "Izumi's been on my ass about that."

"Izumi is on everyone's ass, Ino. You're not special, Hun." A brown-haired girl interjected; her mouth full of some type of food, "Have you guys found any new members for the team?"

The blonde sighed yet again, "No, no one wants to sign up ever since last year's fallout." She turned to Hinata, "What about you?" She asked.

Hinata rubbed her neck, "I met a girl in the gym a few hours ago." Her two friends perked up, their expressions softening. "I think I scared her off though." She said sheepishly.

"Scared her off?" Ino asked. The blue-haired girl beside her nodded, "I ran into her and when I went to offer her help, she ran off." The Hyūga sighed, "The worst part about it is I think I know her from somewhere. It keeps haunting my mind."

"Well, what'd she look li-"

Suddenly, a very familiar group of boys had entered the cafe, yelling and goofing off. The girls' mood instantly dropped, well except for Hinata's. Her face had turned a bright red as she laid her eyes upon the male that entered the room. "Looks like the party is crashed." Ino said, deadpanning.

"Ino, Tenten, Hinata!" Naruto yelled, running over to their table, the boys behind him following. "You will not believe my day today!" He began his rambling. Ino and Tenten rolled their eyes while Hinata's face became even redder.

"And then Orochimaru-sensei says that he needs a volunteer, so I raised teme's hand!" He yelled, cackling at the memory, wishing his black-haired best friend was with him now instead of hogging the gym.

Ino waved her hands up, "Naruto, we don't have time for your rants."

"Oh right, you guys are trying to get more club members because if you don't, the girls' volleyball team will be over," Choji said from beside Ino, chewing on a bag of chips and patting her on the shoulder. The blonde-haired girl regretted telling him, rolling her eyes yet again.

Naruto looked up at the three girls with surprised eyes, "Why didn't you guys tell us that? We can convince some girls to join!" He smiled.

Tenten scoffed, "Are you insane? We don't want your talentless fangirls on the team!" She yelled. Hinata looked over to the girl, "That was a little harsh, Tenten-chan."

"It's true. They waste their lives away cheering for the most average boys." The brown-eyed girl said, pulling her hair to the side.

Now, the group of boys were looking at her. "Average?" A sharp-toothed boy asked with a glare, "We're in the top 10 of all Tokyo High Schools!"

"That's just because Iwa's top athlete got injured." She said snarkily, "In fact, I challenge you. Me, Hinata, Ino, and three of your best players."

"What?!" Ino yelled, looking at Tenten with a glare. Hinata's face grew flustered at the brunette's words.

"Challenge accepted!"

From the backside of a station nearby, there was a pink-haired girl. She seemed a little fumed and upset, scanning the unrecognizable aisles for a particular spice that her mother had forced her to get last second.

Many workers in the store had asked her if she needed any help. The determined girl, of course, denied it. It was better for her to learn her way around the local stores, anyway.

Without her noticing, a group of girls had entered the store, all sweaty and sore. Two of the girls seemed a little flustered, while the brown-haired girl kept muttering curses to herself.

"If you guys hadn't fallen in love with those guys mid-game, we would have won," Tenten said, untying the black headband around her head. The blonde-haired girl looked up to the sky dreamily, "Mid-game?" She asked, "I've been in love with Uchiha Sasuke since the day he walked through our academy doors."

"Is that what you're going to say too?" Tenten said to the timid blue-haired girl beside her after scoffing at Ino's response. In that instant, the Hyūga's face became so red, that she was already scurrying off to the water aisle.

When she got to the water aisle, she scanned the shelves for three metal water bottles. The trio had left their water bottles on the subway a few days ago and never got them back.

Yeah, the only good thing that came out of that little incident was when Naruto offered her a sip of his. She declined with a beet-red face, of course.

Grabbing three water bottles; one purple, one blue, and one coral pink, the girl made her way to the checkout. But when she was walking through the nearby aisle to get to the cashier, she spotted a mop of pink hair.

Hinata frowned, not wanting to scare her any further. But when she noticed that the girl was struggling to find Sansho Pepper, a common spice she would often get when shopping with her maids, she grabbed the mini bottle and handed it to her.

"Thank-" Sakura said before meeting the girl's eyes, "..you."

Before Sakura could run off, the blue-haired girl began, "Please don't run off again." She said softly, "I'm sorry for scaring you off in the gym, I've been told my eyes are a little frightening to others."

When Sakura saw the girl, her breath started to get a little heavy. '𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦? 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥?' Several thoughts ran through her head. But after hearing her pleas for forgiveness, Sakura calmed down and tried to form some words, "I'm sorry too." She muttered, surprising Hinata and herself.

"I was just messing with the volleyballs." The pink-haired girl added, frowning at her past actions.

"Messing?" The lilac-eyed girl asked, "Your serve was truly amazing, I only saw a part of it, but you seem way too professional to be 'messing' around with the volleyball." She smiled.

Patting her lips, the girl looked at Sakura, "Have we met before?" She asked, "You remind me of someone- something. Eh, I don't know."

The pink-haired girl mentally screamed. She couldn't remind this girl of the junior high volleyball game in which she sent the girl to the freaking hospital! How would she react? Would she back up and scurry away?

"Oh, I think I remember!" The Hyūga girl exclaimed softly, "You were at the state finals for Coding All-Stars!"

"Ah-ha, yeah."

Sakura didn't know what the hell a Coding All-Star was. In fact, she failed Coding the first time she took it.

She was also mildly confused. Did this girl not remember coughing out blood on the gymnasium floor? It was a memory that haunted Sakura to this day.

Hinata's smile widened as she shook the pink-haired girl's hand weirdly, muttering somewhat of a cheer. "Have you forgotten the handshake?" She asked, laughing.

"Ah, I was never really a fan of shaking people's unwashed hands." The green-eyed girl added, complimenting herself on the cover-up, but still sweating a bit.

"Hinata!" A voice yelled from the other aisle. The lilac-eyed girl turned and found her blonde friend turning into the aisle. "There you-" she said, making eye contact with the pink-haired girl from behind her blue-haired friend.

Sakura knew the blonde. Yamanaka Ino, a decent setter for the junior high volleyball team she was on. She was there when the ball she served hit Hinata. In all of her memories from the incident, Ino was at Hinata's side when she fell, yelling curses at the Suna team Sakura was on. The pink-haired girl remembered the signature glare that she directed toward her; it made her shiver.

"Are." the blonde-haired girl finished, burning holes into Sakura's skin with her eyes.

"Ino-chan, I have the water bottles." Hinata smiled, handing them to her friend. Smiling back at Sakura, she pointed to the girl, "This was the girl I was talking about. Does she seem familiar to you?"

"Seems familiar, alright," Ino said, a frown evident on her face. Hinata looked back at Ino and stared at her weirdly.

"Let's go, the food that Tenten brought is going to get cold," I said, walking away. Hinata nodded, and followed the girl, waving bye to Sakura.

Before the blonde-haired girl could completely walk away, she glared at the pink-haired girl.

Sakura felt her goosebumps rise. '𝘠𝘦𝘱,' She thought, '𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘠𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘐𝘯𝘰,"
