Scholarly Articles on the Internet
Google Scholar, DOAJ, and PubMed can be described as free databases that allow you to search for scholarly materials. When searching any of these resources and you find that the full-text of the article is not available, or you are asked to pay for access, contact your PCC librarian first. We may have access to the full article in one of our library databases. If not, we are usually able to get the article(s) for free from another library.
Google Scholar
Google Scholar searches for scholarly materials such as peer-reviewed papers, theses, dissertations, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports. It includes both full text and citations. Search Tip! Link Google Scholar to PCC Library Full-Text Database Content
