Hello,
There are many ways for Windows to connect to printers, the common ones are:
- USB cable connection
- Use the printer's IP address for wireless connection
- Use the shared printer's IP or printer name for wireless connection
Click on the "Ports" tab.
Look for the port that has a checkmark next to it. This will usually be the port labeled "IP" or "Internet Protocol".
The IP address of the printer will be listed in the "Printer Name or IP Address" field.
The IP address of the printer is displayed here when the third connection mode is used. When some printers use the second connection mode, the IP address of the printer is also displayed here.
The port that has a checkmark next to it is "USB17, Virtual Printer Port for USB, Canon MG3000 Series."
From your description, your Windows 7 is wired to the printer via USB, then the printer has no IP address.
If you want to configure the IP address for the printer, you may need to install the MG3000 series Full Driver & Software Package (Windows). Assign the IP address to the printer through the software instructions, and then you can view/manage the IP address of the printer through the software at any time.
