Many Google Cloud resources can have internal IP addresses andexternal IP addresses. For example, you can assign an internal and external IPaddress to Compute Engine virtual machine (VM) instances. Instances usethese addresses to communicate with other Google Cloud resources and externalsystems.
Each VM instance network interface must have one primary internal IPv4 address. Each network interface can also have one or more alias IPv4ranges, and one external IPv4 address. If the VM isconnected to a subnet that supports IPv6, each network interface can also haveinternal or external IPv6addresses assigned.
An instance can communicate with instances on the sameVirtual Private Cloud (VPC) network, using the VM's internal IPv4 address. If theVMs have IPv6 configured, you can also use one of the VM's internal or externalIPv6 addresses. As a best practice, use internal IPv6 addresses for internalcommunication.
To communicate with the internet, you can use an external IPv4 or external IPv6address configured on the instance. If no external address is configured on theinstance, Cloud NAT can be used for IPv4 traffic.
Similarly, you must use the instance's external IPv4 or external IPv6 to connectto instances outside of the same VPC network. However, if thenetworks are connected in some way, such as by usingVPC Network Peering, you can use the instance'sinternal IP address.
For information about identifying the internal and external IP address for yourinstances, seeLocating the external and internal IP address for aninstance.

External IP addresses
If you need to communicate with the internet or with resources in another VPCnetwork, you can assign an external IPv4 or IPv6 address to an instance. If firewall rulesor hierarchical firewall policies allow theconnection, sources from outside a VPC network can reach a specificresource using its external IP address. Only resources with an external IP address can directly communicatewith resources outside of the VPC network. Communicating with aresource using an external IP address can cause additional billedcharges.
External IPv4 addresses are available to all VMs. When you configurean external IPv4 address on a VM's interface, a single IPv4 address is assignedfrom Google's ranges of external IPv4 addresses. For more information, seeWhere can I find Compute Engine IP ranges.
External IPv6 addresses are available to VMs that are connected to a subnetthat has an external IPv6 range. When you configure an external IPv6 address ona VM's interface, a single/96 range of IPv6 addresses is assigned from the subnet's external IPv6 range.
You can also reserve a static external IPv6 addressfrom the subnet's IPv6 range and assign it to a VM instance.
Internal IP addresses
VM interfaces are assigned IP addresses from the subnet that they are connectedto. Each VM interface has one primary internal IPv4 address, which is assignedfrom the subnet's primary IPv4 range. If the subnet has an internal IPv6 range, then in addition to the primary internal IPv4 address, you can optionallyconfigure the VM interface with a primary internal IPv6 address.
Internal IPv4 addresses can be assigned in the following ways:
Compute Engine assigns a single IPv4 address from the primaryIPv4 subnet ranges automatically.
You can assign a specific internal IPv4 address when you create a VM instance. You can also reserve a static internal IPv4 addressfor your project and assign that address to a VM instance.
Internal IPv6 addresses can be assigned to VMs that are connected to asubnet that has an internal IPv6 range in the following ways:
When you configure an internal IPv6 address on a VM's interface,Compute Engine assigns a single /96 range of IPv6 addressesfrom the subnet's internal IPv6 range.
You can reserve a static internal IPv6 addressfor your project andassign that address to a VM instance.
Instances can also havealias IP addresses and ranges. If you have morethan one service running on a VM, you can assign each service its own unique IPaddress.
Internal DNS names
Google Cloud automatically resolves the fully qualified DNS name (FQDN) ofan instance to the internal IP addresses of the instance. Internal DNS nameswork only within the instance's VPC network.
For more information about fully qualified domain names (FQDN), seeInternal DNS.

Compute Engine is a computing and hosting service that lets you create and run virtual machines on Google infrastructure, comparable to Amazon EC2 and Azure Virtual Machines. Compute Engine offers scale, performance, and value that lets you easily launch large compute clusters with no up-front investment.

What is this? We hope that you now have a better understanding that while Google Forms does not collect IP addresses, Google may collect IP addresses for its internal purposes.
Configure your network settings to use the IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers. Or, read our configuration instructions (IPv6 addresses supported too).
Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networks are global resources. Each VPC network consists of one or more IP address ranges called subnets. Subnets are regional resources, and have IP address ranges associated with them.
If you accidentally open a Google Doc, the owner won't be able to gather information about your account. Neither will they gain access to information about your device, IP address or geographical location.
Google anonymises advertising data in server logs by removing part of the IP address after 9 months and cookie information after 18 months. Google deletes IP-based location and device location from your Web & App Activity after 30 days.
For example, an internal IP address is not publicly routed. An external IP address is a publicly routed IP address. You can assign an external IP address to the network interface of a Google Cloud VM. External IP addresses are publicly advertised, meaning they are reachable by any host on the internet.
VM interfaces are assigned IP addresses from the subnet that they are connected to. Each VM interface has one primary internal IPv4 address, which is assigned from the subnet's primary IPv4 range.
A VM has one primary IP address per network adapter. The primary IP address is assigned to the VM by the automatic or manual network it's attached to. Use the primary IP to access the VM from other machines connected to the same network.
How do I find my IPV4 or IPV6 IP address? If you want a quick and easy way to find your own IP address on Google Search, then simply go to your local version of Google and ask the question, “What is my IP address”. Google gives you the answer right at the top of the search results.
For example, if you type www.google.com into your browser, your browser would ask DNS for Google's IP address. DNS would return the IP address assigned to Google's domain name ( 74.125. 239.35 ). Your browser then connects to that IP address.
In the VPC network, allocate a named internal IP range: The IP range you specify here will be subject to firewall rules that are defined in the VPC network. Cloud Build reserves the IP ranges 192.168.10.0/24 and 172.17.
Google Docs does have tracking if you're a business, enterprise, or education customer, and that data does include their email and IP address. It tracks the viewing, creation, and editing of files, but not the printing or copying/pasting (only creating a new copy of the file).
Network admins, websites, and ISPs can always detect your IP address, even if you're using a VPN. That's because, when you use a VPN, your traffic is encrypted. If someone looks at your traffic, they can see you're using a VPN to make your data unreadable.
How to hide your IP address on Google Chrome depends on what device you're using it on. However, with the majority of devices you can hide your address on Chrome through a VPN, a proxy server or the Tor browser.
Yes, if you leave an anonymous Google review your IP address can be traced. Google sees your IP address whenever you post a review, even if you hide your name when you do so.
