If you misplace your AirPods (3rd generation), AirPodsPro (1st generation), or AirPodsMax, you can mark them as lost and create a message that provides your contact information.
If you have AirPodsPro (2nd generation), you can also separately mark each of your AirPods and the case as lost, in case you just lose one or your AirPods are separated from the case. (iOS 16, iPadOS 16.1, macOS 13, or later required.)
On your device, do one of the following:
iPhone or iPad: Open the FindMy app , tap Devices, tap the name of your AirPods, then below Mark as Lost, tap Activate.
AppleWatch: Open the FindDevices app , tap a device, tap Lost Mode, then turn on Lost Mode.
Mac: Open the FindMy app , click devices, select your AirPods, click , then click Activate.
Follow the onscreen directions.
Note: To mark your AirPods as lost, the FindMy network must be on before AirPods are lost. See Turn on the FindMy network.
Thanks for your feedback.
