Lost Ark's been around since the end of 2019 and is still releasing new content quite often, yet even with all that time, the NA Lost Ark community is still struggling to get its player base to use Signal Flares. Sure, these Battle Items do nothing in PvP, Abyssal Dungeons, or most other content, but they're a huge time-saver in Guardian Raids.

With that in mind, this guide aims to make sure everyone knows just how easy these items are to get, where they come from, and how players can craft their own Signal Flares in Lost Ark. Here are all of the possible methods for doing so, from most to least efficient.
How to Get Signal Flares in Lost Ark
There are a ton of different routes players can go to get these Battle Items, from crafting them themselves to using an NPC to get them built, or even just buying them flat out.
Where to Obtain: Selection Chests
Selection Chests are by far the best and most efficient way to get Flares, with crafting coming in a close second. Throughout a player's entire time leveling from 1 to 50, they'll likely get a ton of these things of all different varieties. That's not all, either, as these chests are constantly given out as Daily Login Rewards, Event Rewards, and more.
Although some may say it's much better to save them for when players need more HP Potion Consumables, one chest gives five of these things, with one used every Guardian Raid. Given that players can only get rewards from two Guardian Raids per day, one chest effectively equals two and a half days of Signal Flares.
Where To Craft: Stronghold
The Stronghold is absolutely the best way to get Flares in Lost Ark overall, but a lot of players don't really want to bother with the mess that is the Stronghold System and the Market is much more convenient by comparison. To craft three Flares, players just need to get twenty Natural Pearls from the Fishing Life Skill and thirty-five Wild Flowers from the Foraging Life Skill.
It only takes about eight minutes to craft one batch of Flares and requires almost zero Action Energy as well. Sure, Fishing and Foraging all those materials can take a while, but Life Skills are worth leveling up anyway, and, at worst, players can also just buy the required materials from the Market.
Where To Craft: Alchemist NPC
The Alchemist NPC, who is found in most major cities in Lost Ark like Vern, is basically the lesser way for players to craft Flares themselves. The Stronghold is much more efficient overall, but for those who are lazy or just want to ignore the Stronghold altogether, this is at least an alternative option.
Where To Buy: The Market
Like just about every Battle Item in Lost Ark, Flares can be bought from the Market for Gold, and usually for pretty cheap too. Of course, the Market prices vary all the time, but Flares tend to stay on the cheaper side. That said, unless Gold massively inflates, the players should never buy Signal Flares for anything over ten gold a pop.
Where To Buy: Mari's Shop
Mari's Shop is such a goldmine of useful items that players who don't frequent it really are missing out. People can get tons of Rapport Items, Card Packs, and Battle Items for incredibly cheap at Mari's Shop, especially if the Gold Market is fluctuating a lot. The only downside is that this shop only takes Blue Crystals and those can cost a ton of Gold, again, depending on the Market at the time. Still, for the most part, players can get quite a hefty pile of Flares for a fairly reasonable amount of Crystals if needed.
