N26 is a great solution we recommend to international students coming to France. Besides opening a bank account for free, N26 helps you avoid the paperwork and excessive fees that traditional banks charge as well as control your finances through the N26 app.
To open an account with N26, you must meet a number of requirements, includingyourcurrent country of residenceandyour nationality.

The different countries

You can open an account from your country if you meet the other N26 requirements and live in one of these 23 countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the US.

However, Ifyou are notfrom the 23 countries listed, youcanopen a bank account with N26in Franceif you live in one of these countries listedhere.

Supported IDs

As part of the sign-up process, N26 will conduct an ID verification process to confirm your identity. This process will depend on your country of residence, nationality, and type of ID you use.
