Jennifer Love Hewitt is a household name for many people who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s. She starred in hit movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Can’t Hardly Wait, and Heartbreakers, as well as popular TV shows like Party of Five, Ghost Whisperer, and The Client List. She was one of the most sought-after actresses of her generation, with a loyal fan base and a successful career.
But in 2014, she decided to take a break from the spotlight and focus on her personal life. She married her co-star Brian Hallisay, had two children, and moved to Texas. She also faced some challenges, such as losing her mother to cancer, dealing with body-shaming from the media, and coping with anxiety and depression.
For four years, she stayed away from Hollywood and enjoyed being a wife and a mother. She also rediscovered herself and learned to love herself more. She said in an interview with People magazine, “I think that’s the biggest gift I gave myself. I let go of the pressure of being perfect for everybody.”
In 2018, she made a comeback with the role of Maddie Buckley on the hit show 9–1–1. She said she was nervous about returning to work, but she felt ready to take on new challenges. She also said she was grateful for the opportunity to work with amazing people and to play a strong female character.
She said, “I love playing Maddie because she’s a survivor. She’s been through a lot and she’s still standing. She’s still trying to help people and make a difference in the world. She’s someone I admire and aspire to be like.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt is an inspiration for many women who struggle with balancing their careers and their families, as well as their mental health and their self-esteem. She proves that it’s possible to take a break from the limelight and come back stronger than ever. She also shows that it’s important to be yourself and to love yourself, no matter what others say or think.
She said, “I’m not perfect. I’m flawed. I’m human. But I’m happy. And that’s all that matters.”
