Apex Legends' Spellbound Collection Event adds Seer's Showstoppers Heirloom alongside a plethora of new skins and items to collect, but as many fans know, the guaranteed Heirloom is always a hot topic. Unlocking it for Seer comes with new melee animations, fun inspects, and more, but two things managed to stand out about it even more: Seer's new sketch animations and an on-the-nose Dragon Ball Z reference.
Befitting his artistic nature, those who have unlocked Seer's heirloom can see him pull out a sketch pad, creating drawings of Loba, Rampart, Octane, and more. Their funny little animations for Apex Legends, if not the most practical, but the DBZ reference is something players get to see in action.

After unlocking Seer's heirloom in Apex Legends, players are able to encounter a unique door smash animation that sees the artist put his wrists close together, forming a cup-like enclosure with his hands and watching nanobots bounce around that slightly. Seer will then eject both hands outward, in a manner that is nearly identical to the Kamehameha attack of Dragon Ball Z. Indeed, the only real difference appears to be Seer's nanobots gathering in a small amount vs. the Ki required for the attack in the anime. Overall, fans shouldn't be much thought into it, as it doesn't really mean much, but it is yet another enticing reason to snag the heirloom. (Animation seen around the 1:57 mark below.)
Until January 24, players will be able to do so by collecting all items made available in the Spellbound Collection Event. It'll join the general heirloom pool after that, just as they all do, meaning players will have to get lucky and get some Heirloom Shards via Item Packs. This obviously means the chances of getting this heirloom, or any heirloom in Apex Legends, much smaller, but for Seer fans, at least his is now on the table.
Loba's heirloom and Seer's are the latest to come to the game, but these are still relatively rare events. As of this writing, seven Apex Legends characters still don't have heirlooms: Horizon, Fuse, Ash, Mad Maggie, Newcastle, Vantage, and Catalyst. With its standard cadence, Vantage and Catalyst joined the list a little quicker than Loba and Seer left it, and those characters aren't likely to get theirs soon. While this is perhaps looking too far ahead, it does stand to reason that Horizon, Fuse, Ash, or Mad Maggie are up next on the Heirloom block.
Apex Legends is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
