The biggest question facing the Packers this season isn’t about their new defensive and special teams coordinators or rookies on the offensive line. It’s about whether they can ride the wave of good health they’ve been on during the Matt LaFleur era. Part of the reason they’ve reached back-to-back championship games is that they’ve been able to keep their starters together most of the season.

This is the deepest and most-talented team LaFleur has had andregardless of whether it’s Aaron Rodgers’ last season, the organization appears to be all-in on winning a Super Bowl. The NFC is going to be extremely competitive, but the Packers will win the NFC North for a third straight year and vie for the best conference record. It’s going to come down to Rodgers playing like a Hall of Famer in the playoffs to get them over the hump. He certainly seems motivated to do just that.

The Packers’ chances of winning an NFC that has several quality contenders (Bucs, 49ers, Rams) are as good as anyone’s. They were the NFL’s top-scoring offense last season and have the makings of being even better this year if theiryoung line holds up. Aaron Rodgers looked as sharp as ever in camp, and they have two studs at the skill positions (Davante Adams and Aaron Jones). Marquez Valdes-Scantling keeps improving, they added a rookie slot receiver (Amari Rodgers) in the third round of the draft to run coach Matt LaFleur’s jet-sweep action and bubble screens, and tight end Robert Tonyan is still ascending.

They have talent at all levels on their defense with Kenny Clark on the line, Za’Darius Smith at outside linebacker, Jaire Alexander at cornerback and a solid safety duo in Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage. The question is whether new defensive coordinator Joe Barry can do anything to improve on last year’s No. 13 finish in both scoring defense and defensive passer rating. This is looking like Rodgers’ last hurrah with the Packers. Can he deliver his second Super Bowl?

The Packers have been here before, a favorite to win the Super Bowl, and not gotten the job done. In fact, they've been here before more than once. What's different this time? There's something to be said for having a back-to-the-wall urgency.

Everyone in this organization knows this could be their last run. The Packers have gone all in for2021. Throughout the offseason, general manager Brian Gutekunst has not hidden how much he likes this roster. It's top heavy with an MVP quarterback in Aaron Rodgers and a bevy of stars in Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, Jaire Alexander, Za'Darius Smith, Kenny Clark and David Bakhtiari — who should return by midseason. This year, the Packers finally get it done.

A year ago, the reigning NFC champion 49ers hadany hopes of repeating get obliteratedearly by a barrage of injuries. Every week in the NFL seemingly sees teams' fortunes rise or fall depending on which players suffer potentially season-ending injuries. The Packers had managed to remain remarkably healthy during their first two years under coach Matt LaFleur right up until All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari suffered a torn ACL with aweek left in the 2020 regular season. His absence was decisivein the Packers' upset loss to the Buccaneers in the NFC title game. General manager Brian Gutekunst bolsteredGreen Bay'sdepth atkey spots, and ifthe Packerscan avoid losing any irreplaceable components, they should ridegrudge-drivenquarterback Aaron Rodgers all the way to the Super Bowl in Los Angeles, where Gutekunst and Rodgers can hug it out onstage amid the swirling confetti while hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
