We love cooking withblueberries for a whole slew of juicy reasons, and not just because they’re as fun to pick as they are to eat. Blueberries are jam-packed with nutritious antioxidants and vitamins, and their subtle summery flavor carries just the right mix of tart and sweet.
Welcome these blueberry recipes into your kitchen, and fall for the heart-healthy superfruits again and again.
1. Blueberry Hazelnut Crumble
Layer of sweet blueberries + layer of crispy oats = skillet full of heaven
Ingredients
- For the filling:
- 6 Cups Blueberries, washed
- 3 Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Teaspoons Lemon Juice
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon Zest
- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 Pinch Kosher Salt
- For the topping:
- ¾ Cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
- ¾ Cup All-Purpose Flour
- ½ Cup Rolled Oats
- ½ Cup Hazelnuts, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ºF. Combine filling ingredients well in a medium bowl before transferring mixture to a baking dish like this one.
- Combine topping ingredients well in a separate bowl and scatter over filling in baking dish.
- Crown with scattered hazelnuts and bake until topping browns and filling visibly bubbles, about 35 minutes.
- Let cool 10-15 minutes before serving.

2. BlueberryBasil Lemonade
Stir, sip, repeat.
Serves 6-8
Ingredients
- Handful Basil Leaves, washed
- 1 Pint Blueberries, washed and divided
- ¾ Cup Lemon Juice
- ¾ Cup Honey
- 8 Cups Water, divided
Instructions
- Muddle basil and handful of blueberries in a big pitcher.
- Bring lemon juice, honey, 1 cup water, and remaining blueberries to a low boil over medium heat. Stir until honey dissolves and mixture is generously bluish purple before straining into pitcher.
- Pour 7 remaining cups of water and stir to combine. Add additional basil leaves or lemon slices to garnish.

3. BlueberryChia Bowl

Ingredients
- 1½ Cup Blueberries, washed
- ⅔ Cup Almond Milk
- ⅓ Cup Oatmeal
- 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
- Almond Butter, to taste
- ¼ Cup Chia Seeds
- 1 Banana, peeled
- Raspberries, Blackberries, Pecans, Almonds, Coconut Flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Blend blueberries, almond milk, oatmeal, and maple syrup until smooth. To thicken, add almond butter.
- Stir in chia seeds and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Top with banana slices and addyour favorite berries, nuts, or toppings to taste.
4. BlueberryBalsamic Grilled Cheese
Embrace every bite of gooey goodness.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Blueberries, washed
- 1 Teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon Brown Sugar
- 2 Slices Bread
- Handful Basil Leaves, washed
- 3 Slices White Cheese (like brie, mozzarella, Havarti, white cheddar…)
- Butter (optional)
Instructions
- Bring blueberries, vinegar, and sugar to boil over medium heat, gently crushing the berries as you stir, for about 5 minutes. Strain syrup from solid berries.
- Spread blueberry mixture onto slice of bread and top with basilleaves and cheese. Add second slice of bread to make a sandwich and butter outside of both slices.
- Toast in a medium skillet, browning each side, until cheese melts.

5. Blueberry Oat Muffins
No collection of blueberry recipes would be complete without a nod to the muffin.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Quick-Cooking Oats
- 1¼ Cup All-Purpose Flour
- ½ Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1½ Teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ Teaspoon Salt
- ¼ Teaspoon Baking Soda
- ¼ Teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ Teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1 Cup Plain Yogurt
- ¼ Cup Butter, melted
- 1 Cup Blueberries, washed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Combine egg, yogurt, and butter in a separate bowl and stir into dry ingredients once well-combined to make batter.
- Fold in blueberries throughout batter.
- Pour batter into muffin cups (coat with cooking spray or fill with liners first) and bake for 18-20 minutes. Let cool before serving.
