Crab-Filled Crescent Wontons
Have you ever ordered crab rangoons at a Chinese restaurant? If you haven't, make sure that next time you do! You have been missing out because they are amazing. Then you will find comfort in knowing that you can make them at home too! It's as simple as combining all of the filling ingredients and then wrapping them up in a crescent to bake! Not to mention it may cut some calories by not having to deep fry them!
Ingredients:
1 tube crescent roll dough
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup crab meat (imitation or real), chopped
2 green onions, chopped
1/8-1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray and unroll dough on work surface. Pinch seams to seal and roll with a rolling pin to create an even rectangle. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows to make 24 squares.
In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, mayo, crab meat, onion, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Divide crab mixture evenly among the squares, dropping it by spoonfuls that are 1/2 inch from 1 corner of each square.
Starting with the same corner, fold dough over filling, and tuck end tightly underneath filling; continue rolling to within 1/2 inch of opposite corner. Roll opposite corner of dough over roll; press to seal. Place on cookie sheet. Brush with egg white, if desired.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Crescent Braid
This Broccoli Cheddar Chicken Braid is a great last minute dinner idea that can be made in less than an hour, doesn’t cost very much to prepare, and packs a lot of flavor into one dish! I have actually made this recipe and it came out amazing! The braiding process gave me some trouble and it did not come out as nicely presented as the example picture. However, the flavor was still fantastic so you cares how pretty it looked. We tore it apart anyway!
Ingredients:
2 tubes of crescent roll dough
2 cups chicken chunks, cooked
2 cups cheddar cheese
2 cups broccoli, frozen, steamed and chopped
½ cup light mayonnaise
1 egg yolk
fresh rosemary
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
On a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, spread both cans of crescents length wise to form a long rectangle.
In a large bowl, combine chicken, cheese, broccoli and mayonnaise and then spread mixture over the center of the croissant dough evenly to create a log.
Using a sharp knife, cut horizontal strips 1 inch apart down each side of the crescent dough. Fold the dough strips over the top of the chicken mixture, alternating left and right to create a braid. Brush the top of the braid with a beaten egg yolk and sprinkle fresh rosemary on top.
Bake for 28 – 30 minutes until golden brown.

Bite Sized Apple Pies
Want the delicious taste of an apple pie but don't want to go through the time consuming process of making one? Then this recipe is for you! A great quick and cheap snack to make for yourself or your kids! The recipe I found used refrigerated pie crust instead of crescent rolls but you can use either one!

2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. melted butter, divided
2 medium tart apples, each cut into 8 wedges
Directions:
In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, set aside 1 Tbsp. On a lightly floured surface, unroll the crescent dough. Brush with 2 Tbsp. melted butter, sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.
Cut each sheet into 8 one inch strips, about 8 in. long. Wrap one strip around each apple wedge, placing sugared side of pastry against apple.
Place on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar mixture. bake at 425 for 13-15 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Serve warm. Makes 16.
