Let me tell you about some of the biggest reasons sellers are leaving Etsy these days.
So, you are making and selling awesome products on Etsy.
You put a lot of work into it, and you want to earn good money.
But then, you see other sellers pricing their stuff really low.
Like, crazy low prices!
I’m talking about a bundle of 50 templates for $1. 50.
It’s quite surprising to consider that Etsy charges $0. 20 for each listing you sell (renewal) and up to 6% in additional sales fees.
Now, this is a problem because when prices are too low, you don’t earn much.
It’s like getting paid peanuts for all your hard work. And for some sellers, Etsy is their full-time job — it’s how they pay their bills and feed their families.
So, it’s annoying when new sellers come in and undercut everyone with super low prices.
It’s like they’re not valuing their own work or the work of others. We should all try to charge fair prices that show we value our crafts.
