Where Can I Go Snorkeling in Aruba?

Relaxing at the beach is the best way to end any Aruba tour. Aruba’s beaches are known for their soft sand, cool ocean breezes, and crystal-clear water. If you’re looking for some especially clear water for snorkeling or swimming, however, there are a few beaches that stand out above the others.
It’s hard to say for sure where the clearest water in Aruba is, but Arashi Beach is a very strong contender. The sand itself is soft and comfortable, with scattered beach huts for when the wind gets too strong, but the real strength of Arashi is under the water. As you dip beneath the clear blue waves of Arashi Beach, you’ll find a seafloor teeming with marine life, including shellfish, colorful fish, and even sea turtles. There are no equipment rental places near Arashi Beach, however, so you’ll have to bring your own gear if you want to go snorkeling there.
Boca Catalina is another popular snorkeling spot with crystal-clear water. There’s a wider variety of undersea life at this beach, including fish of all shapes and sizes. If you swim out a little further, you’ll also spot some coral growing on the sea floor, as well as plenty of peaceful sea turtles. Boca Catalina is also more secluded than Arashi Beach, with smaller crowds. If you get in the water at Boca Catalina and swim north, you can find Catalina Cove, an even more secluded spot with different fish, although the ones in the cove are a little more shy and tend to stay near the rocks.
