What is Single Trip travel insurance?
Single Trip travel insurance covers you for one trip and one trip only. This could be a great option if you don't travel very often, or if you're only planning on taking one trip, or a couple of smaller trips over the next 12 months.

What is Annual Multi Trip travel insurance?
Annual Multi Trip travel insurance covers you for multiple trips you take over the course of a year. This could save you time and money if you travel a lot. It covers trips up to 31 days, and could be ideal if you want to take a long weekend here or a fortnight there without having to sort out a new policy each time.

What’s the difference between Single Trip and Annual Multi Trip insurance?
Single Trip travel insurance only covers you for the specific trip that you buy it for, while Annual Multi Trip insurance covers you for holidays you take in the 12 months after the policy start date.
They both cover you for the same sort of things, like lost luggage, accidents or cancellations, but the level of protection you get will depend on the level of policy you take out. Travel insurance policies generally offer different levels of cover, as well as optional extras you could add on to your policy for an extra cost.
What is Backpacker insurance?
It doesn't matter whether you're travelling with a rucksack or a wheelie suitcase. Backpacker insurance is for anyone planning a long-term trip of up to 18 months through multiple countries. This policy could be ideal for gap years and career breaks, although depending on your travel insurance provider, there may be an age limit of 50 for this type of policy.

What Travel Insurance does Tesco Bank offer?
Single Trip: Whether you're planning a short break abroad, a staycation or a business trip, our Single Trip Travel Insurance offers cover for length of a trip up to 365 days.
Annual Multi Trip: If you plan on taking two or more trips in the next 12 months, this cover could be more convenient than purchasing multiple single trip policies, and may be more cost effective.
Backpacker: This cover is designed for longer trips abroad up to 18 months, often to multiple countries. You may find this type of cover is right for you if you’re planning a gap year or career break.
With our Travel Insurance, you have the option to pay extra for add on cover to your policy. Depending on which policy you select, this could include Gadget cover, Winter sports cover, Golf cover, Cruise cover and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Excess cover.
What is and isn't covered by Tesco Bank Travel Insurance?
Travel insurance offers cover for the unexpected, so it’s important to read the policy details to make sure you're covered for everything you might need. The amount of cover your travel insurance provides will depend on the type of policy you choose.
For example, our Economy Single Trip Travel Insurance policy will refund you up to £1,000 if you need to cancel or cut your trip short, while our Premier Single Trip Travel Insurance policy offers cover up to £10,000. The Economy policy might be ideal for a short European break that only cost you a few hundred pounds, while Premier cover might be something you’d be more likely to consider if you're planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Orlando or the Maldives.
