Mental health deals with the way you think, feel, react, and act.Mental health deals with your emotional, psychological, and social well being.It deals with how you handle stress, your relationships with others, and the decisions you make.
Mental health matters. Taking care of our mental health aids in our resilience and recovery from anything that happens.
Anyone can have a bad day, but it doesn’t mean that it’s a bad life. How we respond to it and take care of our mental health are what’s important.
Mental health is important at every stage of our lives. It encompasses our overall wellbeing and affects our lives in many ways. If you don’t tend to your mental and emotional health, then your life suffers in all areas.
Your mental health is more important than all the other things we worry about as humans. Yes we need to make money, and yes we want good grades, things and more, but if you don’t take care of your mental health these things will disappear anyway.

Mental health is very important because it impacts every part of your life from childhood, adolescence, all the way through adulthood.It impacts your emotional, social, and psychological well being. Every aspect of your life to how you deal with stress, finances, guilt, self-love, thinking, everything is based around your mental health.Which means if your mental health isn’t in order, your life may spiral out of control.
What is the importance of mental health awareness?
The importance of mental health awareness is that there is a huge stigma around mental health. People believe that mental health is not as important as physical health or your finances, because it isn’t something that you can see or measure really.Mental health is taken with lightheartedness as if you can’t be sick because it isn’t cancer or a cold. Having mental health awareness allows for the public to be educated on the importance of mental health and educate people on how and where they can receive care. Mental health is not an individual problem but a community problem.

Why is mental wellness important?
Life wouldn’t be life without its ups, and of course its downs.The thing about the downs in life is that they do happen, sometimes a lot and sometimes not very often at all.But, because the downs happen, you have to know coping skills. This makes mental wellness very important. Mental wellness helps you with coping skills, self-care, and the ability to adjust to whatever life throws at you.When something bad happens mental wellness helps you to cope with it so it doesn’t destroy you.Mental wellness is a balance of spiritual, social, emotional, and physical health.
What happens if you don’t take care of your mental health?
If you don’t take care of your mental health, you may feel depressed and struggle with life every day. You will focus on all of the negative around you instead of the positive. Without taking care of your mental health, it will lead to isolation and loneliness.
I hear it all the time; I need to make money. Sure you do, but who is going to make money if you have a severe burn-out? Balance is the key. You can work, study, have a social life if you set healthy boundaries and balance your life. You just need to figure out what works for you, and if you have trouble with that find a life coach, friend or therapist to help you.
Without taking care of your mental health it will be harder to take care of your physical and financial health.Without taking care of your mental health it can lead to isolation, loneliness, bad physical health, and stagnant spiritual life.
I am not advocating you should stand up and quit your job. Take time to figure out your next step. This is one of the many reasons to manage your money consciously and have an emergency fund in place. It can give you the sense of freedom to leave jobs.
If you are in a toxic workplace, my advice would be to accept that your current role is not for you and that is OK. No shame. Take what positives you can from it, learn from it and then put your energy into finding something better.
Start saving so that you have three to six months of living costs as a safety net. The salary may not be the same in your next role but what is more important: your pay cheque or your mental health?
Your mental health is more important than any unrealistic expectations from your family, job or society.
