Recently, I’ve been pulling oracle cards from the Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue. It has been such a delight to see how they synchronize exactly with what I’m considering for that day! Choosing an oracle card is an awesome way to begin our day and can help our Inner Beings reawaken us to our deeper wisdom that we already know!
On this day, my oracle was from the Greek Goddess Athena. She represents the inner wisdom we already know and can act on without second-guessing ourselves. When I read her message, it contained a phrase that piqued my attention. I recognize patterns in words and numbers and receive signs from the universe to see things from a new perspective. That’s one of my superpowers!
Here is the statement that I want us to consider in today’s post:
…you’ll be most thrilled when you first consult your own inner bank of knowledge.

When I read the phrase, inner bank of knowledge, my mind went spinning as to how this was applicable in our lives. This post was born out of those moments of a new perspective.
Let’s consider what bank of knowledge we are using most of the time….
What Bank of Knowledge do you use?
There are two banks of knowledge: the inner bank of knowledge and the outer bank of knowledge.
The “Outer Bank of Knowledge” is the wisdom of the world. Its savings accounts don’t pay much because they only draw from past experiences that may not have worked out well, so there’s nothing new going on in these accounts. The checking accounts run dry because too many folks are over-extending their reserves of energy by over-doing, over-achieving, and over-giving. The credit card system is maxed out because folks are living beyond their means by investing in all the shiny baubles that promise a great return only to find out they were worthless.
This Bank is very noisy! From the president on down to the tellers, the staff is chaotically running around trying to serve all the people at once. They are shouting that they are the best bank to do business with, yet so is the bank next door and the bank down the street. There is no clear message of what they provide because their messages get all jumbled together with others.
If you bank at the Outer Bank of Knowledge you will be confused, frustrated, and not very well paid on your investment of time, energy, and money!
If you use the “Inner Bank of Knowledge,” this is eternally sourced from the wisdom of your Inner Being! It pays abundant dividends on every currency of energy you put into it. It enriches you when you are calm and peaceful. Athena says this is where we’ll be most thrilled! I adore knowing that we will be most thrilled when we FIRST consult our Inner Bank of Knowledge!! It’s like getting the inside scoop!
The checking accounts in this bank are full and growing! When you put your time, energy, and money into this checking account, you can absolutely expect a great return on your investments. Very thrilling, indeed!
This is a quiet bank and can only be located in your stillness of spirit-mind-body. It’s a very safe and secure banking system and is highly trusted by the members who bank here. Their integrity is off-the-charts valuable.
There is no risk of using your credit. As a matter of fact, when you invest with the “Inner Bank of Knowledge,” you are always in the right place at the right time. Everything always works out for you. Life is like a magic carpet ride to happily-ever-after-land! Abundance flows because you know how to spend your energy credit that creates a vacuum for more abundance to flow into your accounts. You have created safe boundaries around your time, energy, and money flow.
The Inner Bank of Knowledge has an answer to your every question. They serve up calmness and clarity. You can trust the decisions you make when banking with the wisdom of your Inner Being’s bank! The knowledge you receive from this bank is beyond the world’s understanding. It doesn’t make sense to the world that you can relax, experience ease and flow, and still be living such an abundant life!
The ones banking at the Outer Bank of Knowledge may rail against you, talk smack about you, may even post nasty things about you, and try to crush your vision. Relax, it’s only because you are investing in Truth but they’re not willing to quiet their minds and spirits long enough to find their own inner investment wisdom!
So, in what bank do you invest?
Every single person has access to both of these banks. Sometimes, we spend so much of our energy investing in the world’s wisdom–which is old and stale–always on repeat. It provides poor dividends and wastes your life’s purpose to live in joy. It’s always so easy to observe the wisdom of the world because it’s always in our face, screaming for our attention.
The inner wisdom that we all have access to is always encouraging our investments to feel good. They are always calling us to invest in things that expand our joy to new and glorious experiences! Sometimes, our inner wisdom is so quiet and subtle that we miss the clues and path to ease and flow.
So, it takes some work to invest at the “Inner Bank of Knowledge.” But, the rewards are tremendous!
