When you use the built-in VPN client on an Android device to connect to a Firebox, your client automatically receives DNS server addresses from the Firebox when it connects. You can manually assign the DNS servers your Android device uses to resolve DNS queries over theVPN. You can also manually specify the DNS suffix your Android device uses to resolve local host names over the VPN. When you configure a DNS suffix, the Android device adds the suffix to all DNS requests. If there is no response to the first DNS request, the Android device sends another DNSrequest without the suffix. For instance, if a user tries to browse tohostname, and there is a DNS suffix ofexample.net, the device first tries to resolvehostname.example.net.
