Is Chipolo as good as AirTag? ›

If the Chipolo CARD Spot is in the connection range of your phone, the map will show the current location of your wallet. If your wallet is out of Bluetooth range and you can no longer play a sound to find it, the map will display the last known location where your Chipolo CARD Spot was still connected to your iPhone.

It does all of the things that the apple air tag does except for the precision tracking. However, it has a louder notification chime which makes it easy to find without the precision tracking. It's good.

Can I use Chipolo to track my luggage? ›

You can use a Chipolo Spot tracker to keep tabs on your luggage at the airport. The Notify When Found feature in the Find My app leverages the Apple Find My network and its hundreds of millions of Apple devices to update you on the current location of your luggage.

The Chipolo Plus works in a similar way that M2M GPS trackers work. The only difference is that there's no GPS chip! This means you can't monitor the location of your tracker 100% of the time; instead it uses Bluetooth beacons and a mobile app to find the last known location of the chip.
