What's the difference between VLAN and VTY? I have a book with definitions, but I would like an elaboration on the differences please.

AVTYline is used for SSH and Telnet access to the device. Here you configure login parameters and password. AVLANinterface is in simplest terms the Layer 3 interface for aVLAN, allowing you to configure an IP address on it.
