Most travellers need a visitor visa to travel to Canada. You may also need one if you’re transiting through a Canadian airport on your way to your final destination.
A visitor visa (also called a temporary resident visa) is an official document that we put in your passport. It shows that you meet the requirements needed to travel to Canada.
Most visitors can stay for up to 6 months in Canada.
At the port of entry, the border services officer may allow you to stay for less or more than 6 months. If so, they’ll put the date you need to leave by in your passport. They might also give you a document, called a visitor record, which will show the date you need to leave by.
If you don’t get a stamp in your passport, you can stay for 6 months from the day you entered Canada or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. If you need a stamp, you can ask a border services officer for one. If you arrive at an airport that uses primary inspection kiosks, ask the border officer after you finish at the kiosk.

A letter of explanation is a binding document that an embassy requires to consider a refused visitor visa. Without an LOE document, your request will not get acceptance by the embassy. It is an official document that needs to be there with your visa application.
The letter should originate from the host and detail their relationship with the visitor. It should be dated, contain both parties' full information, and specify the hosting arrangements and travel dates. Crucially, it should emphasize the temporary nature of the stay in the U.S.
SOP or the Statement of Purpose is a document that states the purpose of your visit to Australia and provides information about your travel plans and arrangements. The purpose of SOP is to convince the visa officer that you have a genuine intention of visiting Australia and that you will meet the visa requirements.
You should be writing your relationship statements using clear headings. As your starting point, you should be talking about the development of your relationship. This includes information detailing when you met, where you first met and how your relationship started to develop.
A sponsor letter for a visitor visa should clearly state the sponsor's full name, date of birth, address and contact details, relationship to the visitor, and a pledge to financially support the visitor during their stay. It must also outline the purpose of the visit, the duration, and where the visitor will stay.

While financial assets are required to establish the ability to support the visit, evidence of property and financial assets should also be provided as evidence that the applicant's connections to the home country. Evidence can include ownership of real estate property, business, or house.
Purpose of Travel: Explain the reason for your visit, such as tourism, business, or studying abroad. Itinerary: Provide details of your trip, including the dates of travel, duration of stay, and the places you plan to visit.
Write about your best achievements, hobbies, school/college, any relevant work experience, and anything you think might be helpful in showing the visa agent that you are a knowledgeable student. In this section, you want to make yourself stand out from the crowd.
The B-2 visitor visa is designed for individuals visiting the U.S. for leisure, tourism, or medical treatment. Upon arrival, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the port of entry determine the length of stay allowed for each visit, typically granted for up to six months.
Letters of Explanation should include the following information: Addressed to the U.S. Department of State. State the name of the applicant. State the reason why you do not have an itinerary or proof of departure.
In general SoP is understood as the letter you send to school for admission stating who you are, what your interests are, what goals and further plans are, how and why you wish to study the certain program etc. whereas a letter for Canadian Study Permit is headed as Letter of Explanation or Letter of Intent.
