The Vienna Card is a tourist pass that offers discounts on the city's mainmuseums, monuments and tourist attractions, as well as givingfree unlimited travelon the metro, tram and bus networks for 24, 48 or 72 hours. Vienna Card holders are also entitled to offers at certain bars and restaurants.

As well as travel, the pass also offers discounts on entrance tickets at theSchonbrunn Palace, the Austrian National Library, the the Sisi Museum and Imperial Apartments, the Albertina Museum and the Art History Museum amongst other places.
Price
The standardVienna City Card costs€ 17 (US$ 18.80)for 24 hours,€ 25 (US$ 27.70) for 48 hours and€ 29 (US$ 32.10) for 72 hours. The 7-day card can also be bought for € 35 (US$ 38.70).
Is it worth it?
If you look at Vienna's public transport ticket pricesand bear in mind that a 72 hour unlimited travel pass is€ 17.10 (US$ 19) there's only a little over€ 10 (US$ 11.10)difference to enjoy all the benefits the tourist pass offers.
Unlike other tourist passes, the Vienna Card does not include free entry to attractions, so it only works out economically if you plan to make the most of the city's public transport network and to visit the monuments included on the card.
If you're a student with a valid ID, you may be able to find better offers using your student discount instead.
Where to buy it?
The Vienna City Card can be purchased at the airport, so you can start saving on your trip to the city centre. It can also be purchased at train stations, at the tourist information office at Albertinaplatz, at most hotels and even by cell phone.
