How to verify an NFT contract? ›

You can use a contract code verification tool like Sourcify to associate source code with any deployed contract. This will verify that the payload matches what's on the blockchain and then associate the payload with the contract. Once contracts are verified, the code can be viewed on the Palm network Network Details.

An NFT's full transaction history is permanently stored on the blockchain and visible to anyone. As a result, you can quickly check the blockchain to confirm who actually owns an NFT if someone claims to do so.

Deploy a Contract

Connect your wallet to OpenSea and navigate to the OpenSea Studio page. Click Drop a collection. Fill out all of the necessary parameters: pick your contracts logo, name, and token symbol. Then, choose the chain you want to deploy to and click "Continue".

Double-check the contract address: Ensure you verify the correct contract address. If you have deployed multiple contracts, ensure you are verifying the correct contract. Check the compiler version: Ensure that the compiler version used to compile the source code matches the version specified in the verification tool.

You can go to the NFT's smart contract and click on “Details” to get information on the NFT's token ID, the NFT's metadata status (should either be 'edible' or 'centralized'), the blockchain that the NFT is on, and contract address of the collection.

Typically, ownership verification requires the token deployer address to sign a message. However, bridged tokens are usually deployed by the bridging service provider's address, which the token deployer from the origin chain have no access to.

In most cases, you will be able to receive the NFT purchased (for buyer) or funds from your sale (for seller) in your wallet right away. There may be rare instances where the trading volume is too high for the marketplace to handle in real time. In this case, transactions may take up to 3 days to settle.
