Why am I getting Google charges on my bank account? ›

When you use a payment method through a Google service, during a purchase or with autofill on Chrome, you may find a charge on your account with the descriptor GOOGLE *TEMPORARY HOLD. This is a pending charge performed to verify that your card account is valid. When the transaction goes through, the hold will go away.

Charges for Google products or services appear on your card statement starting with "Google." If it's a Google Play purchase, go to the Play Unrecognized Transactions Troubleshooter. All Google Play purchases appear on your statement under these names: "GOOGLE*App developer name," for Android apps.

When you buy something from Google, you'll find a charge on your account that starts with 'GOOGLE*' and ends with the Google product or another descriptor. Check if charges are from Google Play

On your billing statement, check how the charges appear. All Google Play purchases will appear on your statement, under the following names: "GOOGLE*App developer name" (for Android apps)

Point of sale Google Pay transactions will be marked with a 'D' alongside the exiting 'C' for contactless marker. In-app Google Pay transactions, a 'D' will appear on your statement. The four digits shown are the last 4 digits of Google Pay account number.

Go to payments.google.com. At the top, click Payment methods. You may need to expand your browser window. Next to the payment method you want to edit, click Edit.

At the top, click Subscriptions & services. Under the subscription that you want to cancel, click Manage. Choose Cancel subscription. Note: If you do not see this option, click Manage subscription to go to the Google product that you subscribed through to cancel the subscription.
