TUITION

Tuition of Seoul International School ("SIS") for the School Year 2024/2025consists of both a Korean Won (KRW) and a U.S. Dollar (US$) portion as follows:

For Returning Students;

  • Returning students mustsettle any outstanding amounts from the School Year 2023/2024 to continue enrollment at SIS in the School Year 2024/2025.
  • A Re-enrollment Fee of KRW 3,000,000.- is due March 4, 2024for all returning students.
    Re-enrollment Fee serves as a deposit to secure a place for a returning student and is, by its
    nature, non-refundable. TheRe-enrollment Fee will be applied to the tuition for the School Year 2024/2025. Depending on the chosen Payment Option as below, the school will issue an invoice for the remaining balance after deducting this deposit.
  • Tuition Payment Options;
    Seoul International School offers threepayment options.
    A non-refundable installment fee is applied to installment payment plans (Option 2 or 3).
    For a senior student, only option 1 or 2 is available.
    ※Once selected, the payment plan is systematically fixed after the 1st payment. Any changes request after the 1st payment will result in a KRW 200,000.- programming charge.

For Newly Enrolling Students;

  • New students must pay an Initial Registration Fee of KRW 4,000,000.- within 7 days of receiving their acceptance notice. This fee is a deposit to secure a place for the 2024/2025 school year and is non-refundable.
  • The Initial Registration Fee may be waived for students re-applying to SIS after a withdrawal within two SIS school years.

PAYMENT DELINQUENCY AND REFUND POLICY

Late Payment Charges and Payment Delinquency

  • If any tuition payment is delayed beyond the applicable due date, a late payment charge of five percent (5%) per annum will be added to the unpaid tuition total until the outstanding amount is fully settled.
  • Late payment charges must be paid in the currency specified on the relevant invoice by the due date.
  • In the case of non-payment or payment delinquency of tuition the School may take measures such as restricting students from attending classes, withholding report cards, and/or refusing re-enrollment for the following semester. Details shall be referred to the Delinquency Regulation.
  • For any late fees such as Bus Fees, the school reserves the right to limit services until payment is fully settled.

Refund Policy

  • Tuition refunds for early withdrawals will be prorated by the number of school days up to the withdrawal date and it shall be deducted from the paid tuition amount, excluding the Re-enrollment or Initial Registration Fee.
  • Refunds will be provided in the currency used for payment and wire transferred or given to parents only, or to their authorized representative.
  • The Refund Policy for Early Withdrawals is not applicable in the event of a Force Majeure leading to a student's withdrawal from the school. No portion of tuition and fees already paid for the school year will be refunded, and unpaid fees will be due and payable. Force Majeure is defined as an unforeseeable event or effect, such as war, civil strife, labor unrest, earthquakes, the outbreak of contagious diseases, nuclear disasters, or extreme weather conditions that cannot be reasonably anticipated or controlled. This policy is deemed necessary to ensure the school's financial stability and continued operations following any such event.
  • Bus Fees are not refunded in a situation of distance learning due to the event of a Force Majeure, such as the outbreak of contagious diseases or extreme weather conditions, as students' safety is our top priority.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Each enrolled student is giventwo separate virtual account numbers(가상계좌); one for US$ payments and another for KRW payments. The school will issue invoices with this individualized account information. Please confirm that the beneficiary’s name is the same as your student’s when making the bank transfer.

Cash payments are not accepted.
※Atemporary virtual account number (임시가상계좌)will be provided forapplicationfeepayment only for newly applying students.
