Troon is seeking a Leave Administrator to manage sensitive and confidential employee issues regarding Leaves of Absence and Accommodations. This individual will be required to have a deep understanding of Federal and State Leave law requirements to ensure compliance, while fostering positive relationships across various departments and providing expert guidance on leave and accommodation issues.
Essential Duties:
- Manage sensitive and confidential matters concerning employee Leaves of Absence and Accommodations.
- Act as the subject matter expert for leaves and accommodations, addressing inquiries from employees, managers, property leaders and other departments. Additionally, provide guidance on Employee Guide, policy, and procedure updates in response to evolving legislation.
- Keep informed about statutory and regulatory requirements affecting HR practices, ensuring continuous awareness of federal and state laws concerning leave and accommodations.
- Ensure thorough documentation of leave status from initial communication through return to work.
- Cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, and Risk Management teams.
- Facilitate case review meetings with relevant parties and
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures as it relates to leave administration and mandated state sick leave programs
- Facilitates other leave requests, which include accommodation requests under ADA. Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices
- Work closely with disability carriers to ensure claims are processed in a timely manner and assist employees with submittal of new cases.
- Manage benefit coverages and premium payments for employees on a leave of absence, including communications, issue resolution with other departments including finance and payroll.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of direct experience in leave management within a corporate or HR environment.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of federal and state specific employment leave laws.
- Proven track record of effectively managing various types of leaves, such as FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave laws.
- Human Resources Management Systems experience, UKG knowledge preferred.

Certificates/Licenses: CLMS Certification recommended / not required
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Familiarity with federal and state leave laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
- Ability to interpret and apply complex leave policies.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills, and problem solving abilities.
