How to pass strategic business reporting? ›

It isn't as hard as ATX but significantly harder than APM, SBL or AFM. There's a lot to cover and it really depends on what questions you get on the day. I feel like marking can be quite generous though, with APM and SBL you really have to apply your knowledge to the specific scenario.

Typical Study Duration

Three Months: Many students find that three months of dedicated study is sufficient if they have a structured plan and use their time effectively. This period allows for comprehensive coverage of the syllabus, practice with past papers, and revision.

Plain English and short sentences is the key to a good written answer in SBR. Avoid overly complex words and sentence construction – this often results in the message you want to convey being lost. It is good exam technique to get into the habit of briefly planning the content of a longer written answer.

Yes, it is possible to do SBR (Strategic Business Reporting) and SBL (Strategic Business Leader) together. However, both papers require significant dedication and preparation. SBR is a number-focused paper with analysis, while SBL is a theory paper focusing on high-level articulation.

Strategic Business Reporting is a three- hour 15 minutes exam. It contains two sections and all questions are compulsory. This exam contains four professional marks.
