Contact Customer Service

A custom plan can be set up to meet your company's exact needs, but you'll need some extra help creating your parameters. Simply contact customer service online or call 866-663-3954 and explain your problem to a member of Shutterstock's support staff.

You must be 18 years of age to create a Shutterstock account. You may not share an account with another individual, and/or share content with another Shutterstock contributor without prior consent from Shutterstock.

As a Shutterstock contributor, you will earn a percentage of the price Shutterstock receives for licensing your content. There are 6 separate earnings levels for images and for videos, ranging from 15% up to 40%. You can graduate through them independently based on your download count in each category.

Generally, Shutterstock does not refund purchases once the payment goes through.

Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be blocking access. Occasionally image-heavy sites such as Shutterstock will be blocked by an ISP. We recommend contacting your ISP to verify that shutterstock.com and all its subdomains are permitted access by your ISP.

Content is underexposed, overexposed, or was shot in unfavorable lighting conditions.

User reports indicate no current problems at Shutterstock.

At Shutterstock, we vigorously pursue copyright infringement issues. The best way to alert us to copyright infringing activity is via email to [email protected]. Sometimes submitters post on our forums regarding infringement; this is not the best way to alert us to infringing activity.

Minimum payout: Enter the amount of earnings that must accrue in your account before a payment can be made. The minimum payout amount is $25 and the maximum is $2000.

Do I need to request my payment? No, you don't need to contact us to request your payment. Contributor payouts are automatically calculated at the end of each pay period and delivered according to the payment method in your account settings. Our system will determine if you have met the requirements to receive payment.
