NVIDIA drivers offer the option of accessing NVIDIA GPU Activity in the notification area, also known as the System Tray. You can easily add or remove this.
NVIDIA GPU Activity shows you which programs are being run with your NVIDIA graphics card. It's best used to diagnose problems if you suspect another running program is using too much of your graphic card affecting your games.
Click on Start > NVIDIA Control Panel or press the Windows Key + S and type in and click on NVIDIA Control Panel. Click on the Desktop tab. Click on Display GPU Activity Icon in Notification Area. A blue checkmark means that the setting is enabled.

The laptop's internal screen is connected to the CPU integrated graphics, the NVIDIA GPU works through muxless switchable graphics. It's normal that you don't see any screen related settings because the screen isn't connected to the NVIDIA GPU.
Before enable DDS, please launch Armory Crate application to modify [GPU Power Saving] to [Standard] mode. Then In NVIDIA Control Panel, please reach [Manage Display mode] in [3D Settings], and apply [Automatic Select] in [Display Mode] for Dynamic Display Switch enable.
According to a survey, this issue often occurs when an integrated graphics card is selected by default in BIOS. In addition, an outdated graphics card driver and a simple bug are responsible for NVidia Control Panel only has 3D Settings.
