When you share your location with friends and family, you can ask to see their locations in the Find My app. You can use your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to share your location.
Set up your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple Watch
To set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple Watch, sign in to the device with your Apple ID, turn on location sharing, and turn on Find My [device]. You need to set up Find My before the device is lost.
When you set up your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple Watch, Activation Lock is turned on to help protect your device. You can use Find My to see the device’s location on a map, play a sound on the device, turn on Lost Mode, and even erase the device remotely.
If you pair your AirPods or Beats headphones with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, they show up in your Devices list in the Find My app. You can use Find My to locate or play a sound on them. If your AirPods support the Find My network, you can also mark them as lost.
If your iPhone Wallet with MagSafe has Find My support, you can connect it to your Apple ID so you can see its last known location in the Find My app. You can also mark it as lost.
When you register an AirTag or third-party item to your Apple ID, you can see its location on a map, play a sound on it (if applicable), and mark it as lost. You can use your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to register an item.
If you’re part of a Family Sharing group, you can use Find My to help find and protect any family member’s device. Their devices appear below yours in the Devices list in Find My.
Each family member must set up their devices to share their locations with other family members. See the Apple Support article Share your location with your family.
You can’t add friends’ devices to your Devices list. Friends who lose a device can go to icloud.com/find and sign in with their Apple ID.
Sign in to your Google Account. If this device has more than one user profile, sign in with a Google Account that's on the main profile. Learn more about user profiles.
If you have more than one device, at the top of the screen, select your device.
If you turned on the Find My network, you can use the Find My app on any device that's signed in with the same Apple ID to see your device's location, even if it's offline. The last known location is stored for up to 7 days. See the Apple Support article Find your lost Apple device or AirTag with Find My.
Your devices won't show up on Apple's map if the feature isn't active, so you'll need to check that in Settings > [your name] > Find My. Set the switches next to both Find My iPhone and Find My network to on.
To change the device that you're sharing your location from, open Find My on the device from which you want to share.Select the Me tab, then choose Use this [device] as My Location.

Select your lost device or item to find it on a map. If you belong to a Family Sharing group, you can also find your family members' devices or shared items. Choose Directions to open its location in Maps. If you're close, tap Play Sound.
