TheBank ofRussia hasextended therestrictions foranother sixmonths. They will beeffective from 1April through 30September 2024.
Citizens oftheRussian Federation andnon-resident individuals from friendly states will still beallowed totransfer during amonth nomore than $1million (oranequivalent amount inanother foreign currency) toanyaccounts with foreign banks.
Thelimits ontransfers viafunds transfer systems also remain inplace: over amonth, total transfers maynotexceed $10,000 (oranequivalent amount inanother foreign currency). Theamounts oftransfers arecalculated attheofficial exchange rate offoreign currencies against theruble asofthedate when thebank receives thetransaction order.
Non-resident individuals working inRussia, whether they arefrom friendly orunfriendly states, areallowed totransfer funds abroad intheamount oftheir salary.
Astonon-resident individuals from unfriendly states notworking inRussia andlegal entities from such countries, thebanonmoney transfers abroad remains effective. This restriction isnotapplicable toforeign companies controlled byRussian legal entities orindividuals.
Banks from unfriendly states maycarry outmoney transfers inrubles using correspondent accounts opened with Russian credit institutions ifthepayer andthepayee have accounts with foreign banks.
