I have this problem as well, but with my household that is affected, I don't even have any mods/cc used on any of those sims. So, it has to be a problem with the update.
Also, in the patch notes for the update, one of the expansions that was changed was the Get Famous expansion, and the sim that was affected for me was heavily involved in that life aspiration. So, perhaps, it has something to do with the bug changes they tried to correct.
Try to launch the game - without mods and localthumbcache .package file - in windowed mode. Add Origin
Origin
EA, also known as EA Desktop and formerly known as Origin, is a digital distribution platform for Microsoft Windows and macOS, developed by Electronic Arts for purchasing and playing video games.
This usually occurs if the file is corrupted or have bad/corrupt/outdated custom content. When this occurs, the player is returned to the world selection screen with the dialogue box message: The game failed to load.
This error 102 usually mean there are outdated mods/cc in your game. These will need to be checked over. To fix this issue you'll want to move your mods folder to the desktop, clear your game cache and delete the localthumbcache. package from the Sims 4 folder to help with troubleshooting.
The error occurs when EA's new “Fashion” tags are present in a CAS CC item. The batch fix removes all such tags from CC packages. The process will cause CAS CC items cloned from EA originals with Fashion tags to be like CAS CC items cloned from EA originals that did not have Fashion tags.
I did a bit of research and found an error starting with 109 is likely mod related. Try moving your mods to the desktop and delete the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder before opening the game for testing.
In most cases, the 523 error occurs because the origin server is unavailable or the DNS settings are incorrect. However, even though it is reliable, the Cloudflare network can also encounter connectivity issues. In such instances, the website owner should contact Cloudflare support for assistance.
Error 0x80000003 is caused due to some Registry files conflicting with The Sims 4 app, drivers missing or it isn't compatible with the hardware to run the program.
Type resetSim Firstname Lastname into the cheat bar and click Enter. Make sure you enter the name of the Sim you want to reset. For example: If you want to reset Gobias Koffi, type: resetSim Gobias Koffi, and press Enter. To reset all of the Sims in your current game, you can type resetSim *.
Please check that your Origin is up to date. To do this go to: Origin > Application Settings > General > Updates. If this doesn't work, try to enable Safe Mode. To do this go to: Application Settings > Diagnostics > Troubleshooting > Safe mode downloading.
Unable to start: Cannot start because game data is missing or damaged. If you have mods installed please remove them and try again. If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin.
The fix is to find the folder where the packs are being installed, remove or rename this folder, clear the EA App's cache, and download the missing packs again. The quick fix, which works at least some of the time, is to move these folders into the folder for the Sims 4's program files.
Click on 'Game Options': Click on 'Other', enable the modding options ('Enable Custom Content and Mods' and 'Script Mods allowed') then click on 'Apply Changes' (if any warning comes up please click on the check mark): You will then need to relaunch your game for the changes to take effect.
