Google Maps API uses the same pay-as-you-go system as Google Cloud, which means that you'll only pay for the APIs and SDKs you choose. The 28 APIs and SDKs that Google Maps offers are each priced individually based on usage per month, with a price range of $2-30 for every 1000 requests.
Restrict your API keys to be used by only the IP addresses, referrer URLs, and mobile apps that need them: By restricting the IP addresses, referrer URLs, and mobile apps that can use each key, you can reduce the impact of a compromised API key.
When you open the console, it will display any errors or warnings related to the API key. For instance, if your key has expired, the console will inform you of this issue, allowing you to take appropriate action to renew or replace the key.
The API limits the number of requests for your Google Cloud project. The default value set in the Google Cloud console is 2,400 queries per minute per user per Google Cloud project.
API charges are determined by the number of elements in a request or a response. This pricing model works best for APIs where the transaction workload is dependent on the volume of data processed. For example, if a request contains three elements and charges $0.10 per element, the call cost would be $0.30.
Group archives don't expire. Messages remain in an archive until the group is deleted. The email retention policy doesn't affect messages in a group's archive.
We suggest that you visit your console account, disable any APIs you don't need, and then set up quotas for every API you keep enabled. Use Google's pricing calculator to build a balanced set of quotas that remain within the limits of your budget.
Note that the Maps Embed API, Maps SDK for Android, and Maps SDK for iOS currently have no usage limits and are at no charge (usage of the API or SDKs is not applied against your $200 monthly credit).
How Google Places API pricing works. The Google Places API price works on a “pay as you go” model. You can get a 90-day or $300-credit free trial of the Google Places API if you've never used paid services on Google Cloud or the Google Maps Platform (which includes the Google Places API).
