Borrowing money against the value of your investment portfolio can be a convenient and flexible way to fund other opportunities. This means that your portfolio remains invested, therefore participating in the returns of the markets, while acting as security for your loan.
We work with selected investment managers to make borrowing against your portfolio straightforward and offer a range of options including:
- Variable rates with no early repayment charges
- Term loans typically from 1 to 5 years, with other options considered
- Interest Only option with agreed source of repayment
- No legal or valuation fees
- A loan to value of up to 50%
Borrowing can be against general and ISA portfolios and used for a variety of purposes. For example, buying a property or other asset. Every lending enquiry is managed by one of our experienced bankers and all are considered on an individual basis.

*All borrowing is subject to status and is available to persons of 18 or over. Security may be required for borrowing in the form of a charge over your investment portfolio. Interest to be paid on a monthly basis via a servicing account at Hampden & Co. If the value of the portfolio falls below a level set out in the offer document, you may be required to repay some of the loan or provide additional security.
