Yes. Many custodians are able to support DAOs. In addition, MMI has recently announced a partnership with Safe, a popular option for DAOs.

This agreement shall begin on the Effective Date and shall continue until terminated by either party.

By signing up to a new custodian, creating new accounts, importing those accounts into MMI and moving all your assets from your previous custodial accounts to your new custodial accounts.

Every custodian or custody tech provider generates keys or key shares in different ways. This means key material generated in one custodian is not necessarily importable to a new custodian. Many custodians and custody tech providers do allow you to export your private keys or key shares. Hence, providing the capability to self-custody if needed. This key material can then be used to sign transactions. However, this key material won’t be able to be imported into another custodian to custody tech-provider.

There are three ways to add accounts into the portfolio dashboard. Firstly when you transact with custodial accounts, we automatically detect and add these accounts to your organization. When you add new accounts into the Extension that you have not yet transacted with nor are part of your organization, we provide a helpful notice that we have detected new accounts not yet part of your organization and ask if you want to add them to your organization. Lastly, you can navigate to the Portfolio Dashboard’s accounts section and add any accounts you would like to your organization.

We have no limit to the number of members you can add to an organization.

We have two roles within the MMI Portfolio Dashboard, Admin and Regular user roles. Admin users manage payments and can invite and delete users. Regular users will be invited to the dashboard. Admin users can create settings that apply at an organization-level. For example, how accounts are grouped at an organization level.

You can have unlimited admins in an organization.

Our current role settings do not impact any policy or governance settings at your custodian.

You will still be able to use the MMI browser extension unencumbered. In order to onboard to MMI, invite Team members and give them access to the MMI Extension, organizations have to onboard the Portfolio Dashboard. As all invoicing occurs via the Portfolio Dashboard access is also important.

We work with MeshConnect to allow users to connect their Prime accounts. A user only needs their API keys and relevant password and secrets (available from your Centralised Exchange account). Account balances are brought into the token section of the portfolio dashboard.

Yes, snapshot valuations will include positions held on connected Centralised Exchange Accounts.

Our Snapshots feature allows a user to set the exact time when they want to have valuations run on all the accounts connected to their organization. Our snapshots features will provide valuations on Tokens, DeFi positions, Staking Positions and NFTs. We provide this data in a read-only UI that can be shared with third parties as well as a CSV download. Please see our blog post here.

MMI offers Portfolio Snapshots that generates a read-only view of your organization’s holdings and transactions over a given timeframe. You can download the snapshot data from the dashboard into a .csv file or share a link with fund admins, LPs, or other third-parties to highlight valuation and transaction history. All historical on chain transactions since inception can also be downloaded in csv file from the Transaction Snapshots feature.

Yes this is now available with the Portfolio Dashboard home screen. You can choose to view P&L or performance attribution for your DeFi positions.

Similar to MetaMask, MMI supports all EVM chains. As a caveat, custodial account chain support is in part determined by the custodian you choose to work with. In January 2022, MMI launched custodian account multi-chain capabilities—unlocking custodian account access to all EVM-compatible L2s and sidechains, which means MMI supports custodians in being able to have multi-chain access.

MMI supports ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 token types, just as MetaMask does. However, access to specific tokens are determined by your custodian’s token support framework.

Yes, you have the option to use MetaMask Institutional (MMI) in a self-hosted manner and with hardware wallets supported by MetaMask. Onboarding with a custodian partner is optional.

Within your custodian’s platform/interface there will be a simple button to connect your custodian account with MMI. You can then select from the list of wallets you have created in your custodian account within MMI.

Yes, you can exceed the defined quota. We apply an overage fee for any requests that surpass your quota limit. Please contact us for more details.

Billing occurs at the end of each month. We will send you an invoice that includes the total number of API requests made during the month and charges for any additional MMI services utilized.

Yes, MMI allows organizations to filter and connect any account in the wallet from their custodian. This means users on different browser extensions can access the same wallets and accounts within.

After a transaction is confirmed in the extension, transaction details are sent to the custodian, where it can be approved and signed. The transaction is then broadcast to Mainnet from the custodian account.

The MMI SDK receives status updates from the custodian via a webhook so that transaction status and transaction activity are updated within the extension.

MMI reflects all on-chain transactions, including the tokens of those transactions, within the wallet. You may need to Import token contracts into your MMI wallet.

MMI does not hold any private keys on behalf of the customer. Private key management is done at the custodian level, hence the custodian you choose to work with is responsible for private key security and recovery. Different custodians have different recovery protocols and insurance policies, best to check with your chosen custodian.
