Interac e-Transfer is only available within Canada, which means both you and the recipient must have a Canadian bank account that is partnered with Interac. (The majority have.) Limits: Most institutions do have transaction limits. These could be daily limits and/or weekly limits on how much money you can send.

The Interac logo means you can shop at stores in Canada using your physical card or mobile wallet. The Visa* Debit logo means you can use it to shop online, in-app, internationally and to make pre-authorized payments.

Because the two payment methods use different payment systems.
