Main characters suck, too much tension
first one star book ive ever read, the main character was so annoying through the entire book and is literally everything i hate in a main character. she was stupid and stubborn, the other characters are fine (not Adam) but the 2 main one get on my nerves so much i threw the book across the room. The author did a bad job writing it and it was honestly a waste of time, i could rant about this forever! this book sucks. but if you want a age rating id say a mature 12 year old could handle it but 14+ sound fine. too much tension for me.

Great Book
Nothing graphic at all, one part where the main character says the word sex, other than that just kissing. Lol great book, Juliette is a great positive role model and I would recommend to anyone who is interested in dystopian books.

beautifully written
This is a wonderful, engaging story with a very interesting plot.Of course, there's quite some violence and a romantic relationship between main characters, but this played a big part of keeping me excited. The violence, when reading, doesn't seem to be that graphic or disturbing as CSM describes, thus as bad or gory. Romance is limited to kissing.Swearing is very mild and was okay to let my child read, as we watch movies with the same (or even worse!) language and wasn't heavy. I only planned to read the first book before my daughter, but I honestly couldn't help myself to read the whole series! I now understand why my daughter loves books (especially this series) so much and have been able to connect with her better.

Intricate story and powerful protagonists
I absolutely loved this book and this series. There are plenty of books from both Juliet’s perspective and Aaron’s, it will keep you entertained for a while! I love this book because of its strong heroine who goes through hardships and strong points of change but she always stays true to what she believes in. There is a love triangle that is present throughout the series though it is mostly introduced and recognized by Juliet in the second and third books. I also love the male protagonists in this story. In all, all of the characters are extremely strong and the dialogue is on point, making me laugh all of the time. This book is very light on the physical romance it is very non-descriptive and subtle. The first couple of books are just kissing scenes, however later in the series it does get a little more graphic and intense, but again it’s very non detailed. There is an instance of cheating on a guy. There is some cursing throughout the series (f bombs, sh bombs) this is mostly due however to the fact that they are in a place of war and many soldiers are a part of this story. I absolutely love how the author writes. She made me fall in love with her characters. These books are quite fast paced and exciting to read!! They are smaller books but there are around a dozen of them!! There are some strong messages of friendships that become family and complete emphasis on how each other is everything. The protagonists are broken and mentally unstable in the first books but they slowly find their ways to each other and learn to live and work with one another to mend and to fight for what they believe in. There are no drugs or alcohol in this story. There is a good amount of violence however, not a fan of violence but it fits with the story in a place of war. There is a situation where one of the protagonists is abused by his father repeatedly from his past. People do die though not many protagonists. Again I love this story and would absolutely recommend it. It’s amazing!

Highschool
Just a little too much touchy feely for me to be comfortable with my daughter reading until she’s 14. There’s also one character that has a foul mouth.

Amazing
This is my favorite series I have ever read. There is a little sex, swearing and violence in it, but I think that there are also a lot of good hidden messages in the book. Like overcoming depression and becoming confident, being able to forgive yourself and others for past mistakes, etc. I highly recommend this book
