Hello, I have a big problem with my Acer Aspire A315-23 laptop. It has an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor, and I'm trying to drive an AMD RX 590 XFX GPU through the m.2 A E key slot. All good at first glance, however, after a few minutes of operation, the Laptop shuts down. I didn't do anything in the BIOS, the CPU maintains a temperature of 75 - 85 degrees. From the moment of loading the OS, the laptop fan runs at almost max. Fun fact, the keyboard on the laptop stops working from the moment I plug in the m.2 cable. I really don't know what it is, if it's the CPU temperature or something else...pls ideas Page 17 | [GUIDE] Win10/11 solutions for eGPU detection, BSO... (4) 😥

Hello all.

I'm new at eGPU stuff so I might be missing something obvious here.

I have Aoostar GOD78 mini PC. It has Ryzen 7840HS, and it has one USB4 port on the front. Win11 Pro is installed, everything works fine, all drivers are installed.
I've bought TH3P4G3 eGPU dock. Assembled it with ATX PSU (600W) and I've plugged my old GTX 1060-6GB into it for test run. But when I plug it in Mini PC doesn't react at all.

When I flip PSU power switch blue led turns on. When i plug USB4 cable (tried with one that came with it, and also one other I have, also 50 cm) into mini PC and other end into dock's USB C marked with battery and lightning (PD connector) on DOCK LED goes green and PSU/GPU fan starts turning.

So far everything looks fine but apart from that nothing happens. Under Display adapters I only have integrated 780M GPU and generally Device Manager doesn't show any change when connecting it or disconnecting it. I tried plugging it in while PC is turned off, and while it's on and no change.
Also, if I connect it to other USB-C connector, with only lightning icon, nothing happens. LED remains blue.

Only reaction I managed to get from it was when I connected monitor via USB-C to DP cable to other (only lightning) connector on TH3P4G3 dock, Device manager saw another monitor connected, but monitor didn't turn on. If I connect it via same cable directly to mini PC monitor turns on and works fine as secondary monitor.

Is there something else I need to install for this to work? Or some option in mini PC bios? (it was advertised that it supports external GPUs)
Or am I just "lucky" that my TH3P4G3 is faulty 😬.

*edit*

Desparate times call for desparate measures, just tried installing Intel Thunderbolt Control Center, but no change.

I'm trying to connect my RX 6600 using the ADT-Link UT3G with my AooStar God88 mini PC. It's not working, it tells me that the device doesn't have a Thunderbolt adapter. I'm using The original cable and I also tested with various cables. Thanks
