How do I log into my TSA precheck account? ›

If you have already migrated your account, go to https://ttp.dhs.gov to log in. You will need the email address and password you used when you set up your account.

Earlier this month, the Social Security Administration announced recipients who created an online my Social Security account before Sept. 18, 2021, are now required to transition to a new access system — Login.gov. An email detailing the changes was sent to beneficiaries and is legitimate.

Login.gov is a trusted, government-issued sign in service. The public uses Login.gov for simple and secure access to the services our government partners provide.

Each time you sign in to Login.gov you'll have the option of getting a new one-time code by phone call or by text. You will receive a new one-time code each time you sign in to your Login.gov account. Didn't receive your one time code? Remember you need a mobile device to receive a one-time code by text message.

Access to the TSA PreCheck line is only granted if you have a TSA PreCheck logo on your boarding pass indicating that you're clear for access. That means you're first have to apply for TSA PreCheck. And once you have it, you'll have to submit your TSA PreCheck information to your airline at the booking stage.

You can use your Login.gov account to access your Social Security benefit information, services, and other information. And you can use that same Login.gov account to manage other government benefits and services. For support, visit the Login.gov Help Center.

If you delete your account:

We'll delete your email address, password, and phone number. You won't be able to sign into partner agencies that require a Login.gov account. You won't lose your information saved with partner agencies, but you will need to create a new Login.gov account.

A personal key is a 16-character code that encrypts your personal information with your account. Your personal key is the only way to access your information if you lose or forget your password. Keep in mind: You'll need to verify your identity again if you reset your password without your personal key.

Both Login.gov and ID.me are valid ways to log into the Treasury Portal and both methods will continue to remain open going forward. Users who log in using Login.gov can only gain access to the Compliance Reporting sections of the portal; they cannot access Applications or application information.

If you didn't include your TSA PreCheck® number when booking a flight, it's possible to add it later. You can usually add it through the airline's mobile app or contact the airline online or by phone to add it to a reservation.
