NVIDIA Ti vs Super vs Super Ti – what do all these mean when it comes to selecting the perfect GPU for your gaming set-up?
We’re covering everything you need to know from the Ti to the Super, ensuring you have all the key information before you make your choice. Plus, as an added bonus, we’ve even included a few cheeky product recs. You can’t say we don’t spoil you.
NVIDIA Ti
Ti stands for ‘Titanium’ and describes any NVIDIA GPU that has been built with a boost in performance compared to the standard non-Ti model. These improvements can range from an increase in CUDA cores or more integrated video memory (VRAM).NVIDIA Ti GPUs are perfect for gamers who want to squeeze every drop of performance that they can. Havingextra CUDA cores or VRAM can make all the difference in how quickly your GPU renders an image at high settings with minimal latency or lag.
You can find Ti variants of the 16, 20, 30, and 40 Series. All of which we’ve listed below.
NVIDIA Super GPUs also boast enhancements in speed and power compared to the Ti and standard variants. This includes more CUDA cores, VRAM, and higher clock speeds to deliver faster and more efficient performance in AAA gaming and creative workloads at 4K resolutions.
You can find Super variants in the 16, 20, and 40 Series. We’ve listed all of them below.
Lastly, the NVIDIA Super Ti is a brand-new variant of GPU introduced with the RTX 40 Series. The Super Ti has been fine-tuned for enthusiast-grade gaming and content creation thanks to notable increases in CUDA cores and video memory. With a Super Ti GPU, you can unlock optimised performance in all your AAA games, along with silky-smooth rendering in any creative application.
You can only find Super Ti models in the RTX 40 Series. Currently, there is only one – the RTX 4070 Ti Super.–

NVIDIA Ti vs Super vs Super Ti – What are the Key Differences?
We’ve covered what each means, now let’s move on to the differences between the models. To do this, we’re showcasing three different models and comparing these to the standard 4070:
As you can see from the table above, the key differences in these GPU variants compared to the standard 4070 are the CUDA cores, clock speed, and video memory. Each GPU features an increase, with the 4070 Ti Super boasting the max of 8448 cores and 16GB GDDR6X.
The key change in boosted clock speed can be seen between the 4070 Ti and 4070 Super. The Ti model features a 0.32GHz uplift in speed which ultimately isn’t going to make much of a noticeable difference in your gameplay.
What’s more, the hefty amount of CUDA cores on the Ti Super makes this GPU perfect for gamers, streamers, and creatives. This increase allows you to handle multiple graphical intensive tasks simultaneously, meaning you dominate your in-game enemies and wow your stream audience with ease.
NVIDIA Ti vs Super vs Super Ti – Which One Did You Go For?
Which NVIDIA GPU did you go for and why? Let us know in the comments below.
The performance boost offered by Super models varies, generally providing a 20% to 30% increase in power compared to the base versions. While the Ti variants are known for their staggering 40% performance uptick, the Super cards strike a balance, offering a significant yet cost-effective enhancement for your gaming PC.
NVIDIA Super GPUs also boast enhancements in speed and power compared to the Ti and standard variants. This includes more CUDA cores, VRAM, and higher clock speeds to deliver faster and more efficient performance in AAA gaming and creative workloads at 4K resolutions.
Key Takeaways. The 'Ti' in NVIDIA GPUs stands for titanium and indicates an improved version. 'Ti' models offer enhancements like additional cores and higher clock speeds.
Yes 3060ti based on Ampere Architecture is faster than 2080 super turing architecture. In all the aspects it is faster than 3060ti , gaming at different resolutions, ray tracing performance, dlss performance, and also in productivity. It is also much and much cheaper compared to 2080Super.
Super variants, like the RTX 4080 Super or GTX 1660 Super, bridge the gap between the base models and the more powerful Ti versions. They are equipped with additional CUDA cores, translating into improved rendering capabilities and enhanced ray tracing performance.
Ti for the Ultimate: If you prioritize uncompromised performance and are willing to invest in top-of-the-line hardware, RTX Ti GPUs are your go-to. Super for Balanced Value: If you seek a blend of performance and affordability, RTX Super cards offer a compelling value proposition.
Compared with the GTX 1660 Super, the 1660 Ti is still the faster card overall, but as you can see below, the 1660 Super does come pretty close to hitting 60fps on Ultra settings in a surprisingly high number of cases.
The RTX 4070 Ti Super is around 5 percent faster than the RTX 4070 Ti before it. As I mentioned earlier, this is super disappointing. It's barely an improvement over the card it's replacing, and really, all you're getting here at 1440p is 16GB of VRAM instead of 12.
At 1440p, the RTX 4070 Ti Super looks a lot more impressive. It's not struggling to hit a playable frame rate at this resolution, so the comparison to the RX 7900 XT and the gains over the base model hit a lot harder. It's really at 4K where the card misses out, losing too much ground to the RTX 4080.
For the high-end gaming market, the 4070 Super is arguably the best option right now. Let's just hope the next generation sequel ends up with more VRAM.
The GTX 1660 Ti, meanwhile, is much better equipped for dealing with those higher quality settings. Compared with the GTX 1660 Super, the 1660 Ti is still the faster card overall, but as you can see below, the 1660 Super does come pretty close to hitting 60fps on Ultra settings in a surprisingly high number of cases.
The 2080Ti GPU can deliver 46% faster in NBody calculations over the 2080 Super. In terms of gaming FPS, the 2080Ti doesn't have much of an advantage. Most of the AAA games in the market haven't had the time to utilize the technology on these GPUs, which erases most of the potential benefits.
Despite having 8GB VRAM and a lower boost clock, the RTX 3060 Ti offers better performance. One reason is that the RTX 3060 has a smaller and slower memory bus than the RTX 3060 Ti.
The 4070 Ti Super is definitely faster than the old one at the same $799 price, which we'd still call a good thing. But that's still a high price in the end, and stronger-than-usual competition from AMD ultimately helps to make the 4070 Ti Super one of the less-compelling GPU options in the RTX 40-series lineup.
